From the Washington Post:

During an interview aboard his campaign bus on Saturday, Giuliani belittled Romney's claims to be a committed conservative and accused his rival of turning his back on his "one" notable accomplishment: expanding health care to cover all citizens of his state.

"When you look back on Romney's governorship of Massachusetts, there's only one accomplishment, and he's running away from that," Giuliani said as the bus rolled through New Hampshire.

"I don't see where he's going to make the claim to being particularly conservative as the governor of Massachusetts," Giuliani said. "I can certainly make the claim quite accurately at being the most successful at reducing crime of any mayor in the country, probably in history."

Storm troopers and the death penalty for stealing a loaf of bread does wonders to curb the crime rate.

Rudy can't disclose his salary from Bracewell Giuliani? Can't tell us the only thing stopping Kazakhstan from becoming a future world-supplier of oil is Iran/Iraq landlocks their pipelines from Persian Gulf access?
If I were a reporter - I'd be asking Rudy all about his personal interest in Kazakhstan.

Rudy: King of for-profit crime capitalism. One quick Google search turns up Bracewell Giuliani law-firm ($4 B profit from helping connect the oil pipeline from Kazakhstan to China) and Giuliani Security, Inc. providing anti-terrorism security services to Japanese business men.

Rude Giuliani certainly does not suffer from low self esteem, though has serious problems with Delusions of Grandur.

Rudy fights crime by trying to appoint it to the Attorney General

Are you safer today? With the slashing cuts in food and drug inspections over the past seven years you have a much greater chance of being "hit" by bad chicken or mayonaise than by Al Qaeda.

Rudy's driver, Bernard Kerick, was elevated to Commissioner of the NYC Department of Corrections and before Rudy promoted him to be NYC's Police Commissioner. Then Rudy sponsored him to be the Head of the Federal Department of Homeland Security. One wonders what Bernie's credentials were to warrant either of the top jobs in NYC or consideration for the top job at DHS. One also wonders why Bernie's ties to petty street thugs and organized crime figures went unnoticed by the greatest crime fighter of all time.

When a mayor locks up anyone suspected of a crime and approves use of excessive force on whole groups of people living in crime ridden neighborhoods, it is logical that crime might be lowered. Too bad Giuliani never bothered to study the Bill of Rights when he was in law school. In my opinion, Giuliani is an example of a perfect ass and while that may be subject to debate, I believe few would argue that he's a legend in his own mind.

Guiliani jailed the squeegee guys. He kept blacks out of the Disney theme park in Time Square.
He shut off the subways to stop an anti-war rally
on Wall Street. And then he appointed a mafia goon to head the NYPD.

This is law and order?

Then he stepped into a phonebox and transformed into, Captain Chaos!

Einstein once said "You cannot simultaneously prevent and prepare for war."

The same logic applies to Giuliani. He cannot simultaneously be a criminal, surround himself with crimanals, and then claim to be a crime fighter.

I find it hard to believe that even conservatives would be charmed by this boasting.

Consistant with the long line of republican vaccuous airhead nominees. I saw him speak on the campaign trail--not one of the brightest bulbs in the pack, that's for sure. Apparently its become a requirement for the GOP to nominate nimrods who can barely put two intelligent words together and have no further agenda for the country other than to pad the pockets of their buddies...and start illegal wars...and trash the environment...and create gargantuan deficits...and cut back on social services...and send domestic crime and handgun deaths up...and...and...and...

Seriously, is there any right winger out reading this who can point to any viable accomplishment any of their presidents have done starting with Reagan? (And no, Reagan did not "tear down that wall." The Soviet Union was crumbling anyway, though you do have to give him credit for expediting its demise with an outrageous, dangerous arms build-up.) And remember: Talking tough and sound bites are technically not accomplishments.
