TPM Muckraker :

So it begins. After years of obfuscation and denial on the length of the U.S.'s stay in Iraq, the White House and the Maliki government have released a joint declaration of "principles" for "friendship and cooperation." Apparently President Bush and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki signed the declaration during a morning teleconference.

Naturally, the declaration is euphemistic, and doesn't refer explicitly to any U.S. military presence.

In Baghdad, Iraqis on Tuesday had mixed reaction to the deal.

Hamza Mohammed, praised the agreement, saying it would "liberate Iraq."

But Karim Abdullah said it was an attempt by Bush to salvage the end of his term and called it "just propaganda."

"We, as Iraqis, hope that our country will be liberated from the U.S. troops completely," he said.

The Bush White House in the same sentense as 'Principles' makes me think I'll soon be reading satire.

This air2air is having a problem with - His delusional
rich-greedy above all ...

All corporations exist for just one purpose: The greed of the
shareholders. Those of us who have worked in business at various
levels know there are no emotions, no compassion. No kindness, no
love, no consideration. There is only pure logic and the bottom
line. What's the difference between a corporation and scum-sucking,
bottom-feeding Carp? Nothing. Corporations easily bring out the
worst in everyone working within them. Any employee of a corporation
is always focused on personal promotion, benefits and salary increases.

Employees don't care where the money comes from, as long as they get
more. Often they will sell their soul to get ahead and make co-workers
look bad if required. Everyone and everything to them is a stepping stone,
and there are no rules. These people have Greed Disease (GD) but go
untreated. A 3,000 square foot home, three cars, an annual trip to Europe
(and of course $50,000 in credit card debt) isn't enough for those with GD.
They want more. More. More. More. These are often the very same people that
cut you off on the highway, or illegally take your right of way at a traffic
light. They are blind to disease and poverty - until these curses come knocking
at their door. Then they are the first to scream "That's not fair. I didn't
deserve it!"

air2air

When I was young and making no money I felt the same way too.
I wanted the president, or rich people, or corporations, to be
the reason for my problems. You guys at least have the Iraq war
to blame for your ruined lives. In my day we had REO Speedwagon.

At least the Marketing machine is full at work. It was probably Rove himself who came up with the idea to make it look like a prolonged American presence is Iraqi's idea.

An interesting take on congressional oversight:

"How dare Senator Daschle criticize President Bush while we are fighting our war on terrorism?"

i like this game:

"REASONS INVADING IRAQ WAS A CRAPSTAIN IDEA"
1)Our mandate was to fight Al-Quaeda and capture Osama bin Laden

2)The Iraqi civil war doesn't need a hall monitor

3) it's killing our soldiers, and we aren't budgeting for the ones who survive. In fact, we're billing them.

4)The cronyism and sheer incomptence of the Bush Administration has resulted in the dismatling of the Federal Government; there's fewer people running a show that treats in peoples lives.

5) We can't fucking afford it, and that moron gave out checks for the peasants, and tax relief for the corporations. Why Does George hate America's children?

I remember when I initially heard that we were getting cooperation from the Sunnis. My first thought was that they were either trying to help us save face and leave, or they were angling for a coup. Sounds like the Muckraker is thinking coup....
