US Troops Kill 5 People At Iraqi Roadblocks

AP :

American troops fired on vehicles trying to drive through roadblocks, killing at least five people, including one child, in two separate incidents, the U.S. military said Tuesday.

One shooting in Baghdad took place in a northern neighborhood known to be a Shiite militia stronghold as the driver of a minibus collected employees to go to work at the Rasheed bank, police said.

2000 civilians were murdered by US troops at road blocks in 2006. Of these, only 60 were found to have any ties to the insurgency.

There will be no Nuremberg Trials for the American military and nobody will ever pay for these crimes. The average American still thinks his/her soldiers are "heroes."

Leave your house, find a police road block in your area and try to drive your car thru' it without stopping. Perhaps you can pick an area where a cop was killed recently.

When my GOPer brother-in-law was stationed in Turkey in the late 1970s, a couple of young boys accidentally shot their van with a single bullet while rabbit hunting. Their commander refused to allow them to return fire and kill the kids. He's still steamed about that.
