Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton accused her leading Democratic presidential rival Wednesday of flinching from the struggle to provide health care for all Americans and said, "I am not afraid of the Republican attacks" on the subject.

"We've got to put up a candidate who's willing to stand up for it and fight for it," said the former first lady in her most pointed criticism to date of Illinois Sen. Barack Obama.

I'm an Edwards guy.
But after the week(s) of Bill O'Reilly lying about the surge working -(yeah right )- while data shows the majority of insurgents (and 9/11 terrorists) were Saudis - I want to bomb some Saudi Arabia.

So who will go in there to cut off the deaths for our troops and cut off war profiteering?

Yeah that would really suck if after eight years of Prince Bandars butt boy you get Hillary for your president.
What? Ralph is to lazy to run and screw up America another eight years?

First act Hillary.
Bomb Saudi Arabia.
Get rid of the real terrorists.

End the Bush cabal.

Everyone, Hillary's plan will force everyone, even poor people who can't afford health care, to buy it. They will be required by law to buy health care. The part I don't understand is how she intends for the people who live paycheck to paycheck to somehow come up with the money to buy health insurance. Her proposal suppposedly covers everyone, everyone that is except for the millions of Americans who can't afford it in the first place. Who wins? HMOs and big pharma, not the American people, not the uninsured.

Poor Hillary, she is soooo jealous and bitter.

She thought she was just going to sail into the White House---------and then along Barack Obama.

He has so much more appeal than she does, he is more intelligent, charming and younger and she can't take it at all!

Too bad for you Hillary, besides no one wants those weary tired lying scandal ridden Clintons back in the White House

I heard once the GOOD senator from Illinois, talk about a famous discourse in the Senate between two senators. As the argument heated up one of them told the other that we indeed had the right to his own opinion whereby the other senator retorted with the know infamous line "you are entitled to your own opinion, but not to your own facts".

philosophically this means that truth is the only thing we shear, the only universal constant, the only Tran-human substance.
Truth is the architect of our common world. And when a person is misrepresenting the truth we are obliged to call them what they are: a Liar.

I know it is ugly to judge another but, this is not what we think or believe. The fact that the Clintons Lie and seem to do it with ease is obvious.

So why can't we call them what they are?

Hillary wants to claim her Husbands presidency fine............... but she cannot be selective about it, take the good with the bad......

Bill Clinton wants to put it out there that "Clinton" was against the war from start. Really are we that stupid. In this age of Internet why would an elderly statesman make such erroneous statement?

Maybe Because the Clintons are Pathological liars (it is sickness). In which case they are the perfect politicians because they will be able to shift their positions with the greatest of ease. They are not Shape-shifters they are Poll-Shifters

Riddle 4 U ?

Q) What do you get when you cross Mike Gravel's Fortitude, with Dennis Kucinich's Tell it as it is, and Barack Obama's Time for a change, with Bill Richardson's Compassion and integrity, plus Chris Dodd's Service ethic, and Joe Biden's Wisdom, without Hillary Clinton's Triangulation???

A) John Edwards.

Some people cease not to amaze me with their dismisal of everything unfavorable as a non-news.

The last I checked, Health care, the war, the economy are tangible topics.

Am I missing something here. Obama's plan has a chance of succeeding while Hillary's would go the way of the 93 plan.

I certainly don't want to be asked of proof of insurance to register for class, or car e.t.c.

I think it is a bad idea to begin with. One has to work towards it. It can't be shoved down peoples throat.

I know this is jumping in way too late in the public discussion, but I just had the most brilliant insight into healthcare policy and economics the other day :

in a single-payer system, the government has all the incentive to FIGHT THREATS TO HEALTH like environmental pollution, toxins in consumer products, poisoned food, poisoned drugs, all the causes of obesity, etc.

in an employer-based system, corporations cannot be relied on to lobby government for making the population healthier -- especially because people move from company to company.
