When I was in the military, we were taught to sing like a canary if captured and faced with torture. NO ONE resists torture, no matter what BS Hollywood would have you believe about the brave Tinseltown hero. Since you're going to tell them everything anyway, may as well tell them before the torture starts. For this reason, us frontline kinda guys were never told anything about what was going on (we called ourselves mushrooms - kept in the dark and fed shit).

I have to wonder about the quality of the information received from the tortured. Had I been captured and tortured for my knowledge, I would have lied through my teeth, because I didn't know anything that would have been of any use to the enemy (I was a mushroom, remember?). Tell them anything, make it STOP!
