New York Times:

In a newly released survey, American journalists in Iraq give harrowing accounts of their work, with the great majority saying that colleagues have been kidnapped or killed and that most parts of Baghdad are too dangerous for them to visit.

The survey was conducted by the Project for Excellence in Journalism, an arm of the nonpartisan Pew Research Center in Washington. Of the 111 journalists who participated, half had spent at least nine months in Iraq, and three-quarters had experience reporting on other armed conflicts. Most of the journalists were surveyed in October, one of the least deadly months in Baghdad in recent years.

No where in the post did I see Micheal Yon or Michael Totten's name. You want the real story of street life in Iraq go to their posts on the net. Not the 'Green Zone' warriors relying on Iraqi scrubs.

And while we're looking at polls from the Pew Research Center, here's another recent one:

Public Sees Progress in War Effort
November 27, 2007

"For the first time in a long time, nearly half of Americans express positive opinions about the situation in Iraq. A growing number says the U.S. war effort is going well, while greater percentages also believe the United States is making progress in reducing the number of Iraqi casualties, defeating the insurgents and preventing a civil war in Iraq.

Roughly half of the public (48%) believes the U.S. military effort in Iraq is going very or fairly well."

VOTER - It's not only FAUXNews. The Surge is Working is a load of shit!

4.2 million Iraqi have fled their country -

http://news.independent.co.uk/world/middle_east/article2640418.ece

(roughly 1/5th the total population) and now MSM reports "hundreds" are returning, mostly because they have lost visas or run out of resources and this "factoid" has been twisted into "THE IRAQI ARE COMING HOME." Bullshit!

The violence is down a bit because Blackwater and other "contractors" have diminished their foul deeds.

Other than that it's Iraq as usual.

MSM is really hard pressed to find anything positive and now resorts to stretching the truth to absurdity.
