Beck is popular because he serves up such simplistic pap, on global warming and other issues. His lack of sophistication on trade, economic integration, and other issues, is comical, his discussion of complex issues sophomoric. He represents, like the other right wing talk show morons, the lowest common denominator, thowing out a few nationalistic bones to his ill informed followers.

What's interesting is liberal radio has failed, liberal tv is failing, liberal newspapers and mags are failing and the conservative movement is always successful- look at the GREAT ONE...RUSH, look at Bill O and FOX, look at Glen Beck- his radio AND TV show. Face it- most good Americans are traditionalists and conservative. The garbage we see in the media come from Hollywood and New York-- 2 extremes of liberalism- both of which are failing.

Question: Who buys such a book? Frankly, neo-nuts dont often read, so the question is legit. The same sales patterns emerge when, say, mAnn Coulter serves up her yearly dose of hate and lies.

Answer: Right-leaning think-tanks, mega-churches and wealthy business owners buy thousands of copies of a "book" such as Beck's. The book are never read, never even distributed to readers. The books just sit in basemants gathering dust. Never the less, this practice give the uninformed, intellectually lazy american public the impression that the "book" in question is popular because of the sales numbers.
