Wednesday's "700 Club" featured a question about the Christian view of yoga. A concerned viewer asked, "Does it really have its origins in evil?" Pat Robertson gave the verdict: Yes! According to Pat, stretching is fine, but by repeating common yoga mantras, you are actually praying to Hindu gods Vishnu and Krishna and you're not even aware of it! Check out the clip below and tell us what you think. Is it wrong for Christians to practice yoga?

From ABC Family 11/28/07.

Let's All Chant Pat's Holy Mantra......

Fear, Hate, Right, Wrong, Us, Them. We love everybody...as long as they're christian, we're compassionate and we love to see everyone else go to Hell. My god can beat up your god.

Pat, you never made it past kindergarten.

He obviously does not know the first thing about Yoga, nor about all the different forms of Yoga there are (Hatha, Karma, Raja, Kundalini, etc.). But then, Robertson was never known for being cultured in anything whatsoever, not even in the Bible.

Hinduism has 900 million adherents (Source: adherent.com)

Mr. Robertson has managed to offend 900 million+ people.

What is evil about Krishna and Vishnu anyway?

Mr. Robertson offers an opinion but does not provide any evidence to support his statement.

Maybe it is all leela anyway?

Pat should be scolded by the writers guild for unwittingly writing his own jokes - what a maroon this guy is - "God please take Pat to his reward"

HeevenSteven-
The comedy writers might be on strike but the jokes keep coming.

Remember that other jokster, Oral Roberts?

Back in the 1980's this so-called "Born again" prophet told his followers if he didn't get $8 million by a certain date God will "call me home".

I guess he got the money but I wonder if Robertson knows if he made it home or not?

I pray to a wind god named "Like". The primary prayer is not in ronounced "Ya'know". I thereby doom a generation to hell.
