Wednesday's "700 Club" featured a question about the Christian view of yoga. A concerned viewer asked, "Does it really have its origins in evil?" Pat Robertson gave the verdict: Yes! According to Pat, stretching is fine, but by repeating common yoga mantras, you are actually praying to Hindu gods Vishnu and Krishna and you're not even aware of it! Check out the clip below and tell us what you think. Is it wrong for Christians to practice yoga?

Ever notice how effeminate these anti everything tricksters are. I mean the guy could not be called butch. Same with Fallwell and that ex Arthur Murray dance instructer Jim Kennedy. You think they might be in Larry Craig's club?

Eknath Eswaran, the great Hindu teacher of meditation used St. Francis' prayer for his meditation and it is that prayer that he teaches his students to use. He says that Francis' prayer is the "ultimate spiritual statement"

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

I think this is a little too spiritually advanced for the likes of Pat Robertson.

I think it's wrong for Christians to practice anything anymore. They were given Christianity and can't even practice that.

Yoga stretching exercises would certainly be helpful to Pat Robertson. It would enable him to place his head even further up his ass.

You know I've often wondered whether or not a man who wears expensive suits, and has the name of Pat could possibly be involved with the old practice not seen in many years but that I recently heard about while listening to a small gathering of people who had come to a grocery store to find righteousness in the cold cereal aisle. It seems that these folks (and I found them to be right nice folks) were talking about the fact that a man who is named Pat and wears expensive suits, and also I might add is on his own TV show, could very well be the very same Pat who wears expensive suits and has his own TV show who is involved in trying to change the name of the earth to "brzzzqgwd". Now, I know that that seems strange, and it certainly seemed strange to me, as well. But then they told me about this old practice that this same fellow, Pat, was trying to reintroduce into society. The way it was explained to me was that this fellow, Pat, wanted to resurrect the idea that your fingers are actually agents of left side of your pancreas and because of this they are acidic in nature, and it follows that if they are acidic in nature that they are agents of acid. They explained that "acid" in this context was similar to the old usage of the word which, loosely translated, means "not included in good things." Well, if it's true that this fellow, Pat, is trying to bring back this idea that our fingers are really agents of our pancreas and that that really means that they are not included in things that are good, my question is: (and, please excuse what has obviously been a steam vent coming from a hot spot in my rationale locus)

What is the average IQ of the people who listen to this idiot, Robertson? Jesus!!!, indeed.

I thought folks that did yoga didn't listen to Pat anyway. Sadly I'm wrong.

Still further proof----as if any is needed---
That Pat Robertson is still in the runnng for "Asshole of the Millineum"....a title he once had to share with Jerry Falwell..until that sick prick finally had the decency to croak!

It's a shame that, to the "general public," this guy represents Christianity. Perhaps he's done truly good work over the years but he's obviously getting a nutty - and, people listen to him and follow his advice. No man is perfect, but this guy has a big soap-box and is using it more and more to ill-ends. It's a shame, given he's far afield from the essence of Christianity.

To imagine that followers of this slime are actually voters makes non-Americans shudder with real fear. Democracy? Idiocracy!
