Maybe it's because, in reply to the site question "Who would you like to meet?" she said: "I've already met just about everyone."

Think about the arrogance of that for a moment.

Really, this falls into the same category as Julia Roberts tearing down the road after a photographer so she can BE Miss Julia, instead of actually thinking about the safety of others on the road. Baba Wawa has no friends because she can't IMAGINE anyone she hasn't met, who isn't famous, who might possibly be interesting.

I'll never forgive her for her Sean Connery interview years ago. He talked about his "slapping women around" and how nothing made him more angry than women on a golf course, where he felt "they didn't belong".

Barbara has succeeded in making herself increasingly irrelevant. In her attempt to make The View more mainstream, she has integrated the lowest common denominator in Sherri Shepherd. A woman who claims to have never even considered whether the world is round or flat because it didn't enter her "reality". A woman who admits to waking at 4AM post Thanksgiving to spend herself silly buying thing she "didn't even need!"

Anyone who is so dishonest with themselves that they call a speech impediment a "Boston Accent: has serious mental problems. I have a Boston accent and we do pronounce out "R"s. We do not trill "R"s like the Spanish, but we pronounce them.

The way a phony Boston accent can be detected is that non Bostonians drop the "R" completely when trying to imitate us.

Walters is just a spoiled rich girl who did not
have to face reality, because so much money and social status was behind her. If she had been working class perhaps she would have worked to get rid of the speech impediment. Many people starting with the greek orator Demosthenes have overcome such problems.

At the end of 20/20 tonight they showed a few clips as a preview for her annual '10 most fascinating people of the year' special. The inventers/engineer/designers of myspace made the list. In the clip shown of her interview with them they set this profile up with her to show her how myspace works/what myspace is.

I sincerely doubt she is actually using the profile to actually network -- network with teenagers and college-aged people, that is, the primary, if not sole, users of myspace.

I do not see any semblance of journalism in Barbara Walter's persona, although, my mom says Walter was a serious journalist in the 70's and early '80's. Maybe so, but really, looking at her and "journalistic demeanor" @ the View, I just can't imagine, Barbara Walter once anchored the news with respected journalists such as Harry Reasoner. I know she hosted several pre-Oscar shows, and in my view she's more of "celebrity host", rather than a journalist. So, if she ever was, I don't see any remnant in her present persona at all.

I don't know the whole story on the O'Donnel and Jones issues, so I am more hesitant to say anything about that. But, there is 1 thing I know of her [positively factual], she lied on the matter involving her cousin, and Macca. She knew that they were seeing each other, and Walter really hated Heather Mills. Walter LIED.
It's appalling that she can scheme a way to degrade Mills, and her secret agenda to promote her cousin's relationship with Macca.

For that reason, I wouldn't want to be her friend either.

I wouldn't let my daughter add her as a friend.
She wants to be this "Weel Woman Wole Model"
