Ron Paul Rakes In The Cash

Politico:

Ron Paul may not win his party's primary, but he is on track to capture another big title: top Republican fundraiser for the final quarter of the money-obsessed 2008 presidential primary.

In the first two months of the quarter that began Oct. 1, Paul already has raised more than $9.75 million, putting him easily within range to best the amount rival Mitt Romney received from donors during the entire third quarter.

A quick look at some things Misanthrope has said:

Here's a few more zingers he's thrown at me (direct quotes):

"Nonsense. Most of my life consists of driving around the San Bernardino Mountains in a 4x4, armed and dangerous. I wear camo and look just like the hunters and gold miners. I can speak their language and if you met me on the trail, you would have not idea who I am. But you might want to watch your back. I know I do."

"Humans are stupid, greedy and dangerous. Specially the ones that like to sneak around killing animals for fun. But don't worry, I'm armed and I shoot about 1500 rounds a month."

"I have a really hot girlfriend I live with.

She is from Anaheim and is a hot little blonde, who grew up on the beaches of Orange County.

California women are the most beautiful women in the country, and if you travel, you would know that."

"Why do you think the elected judges made me a judge pro tem in my 20s? Because they loved me and I represented and advised a couple of judges. Oh yeah, my mentor was a very loved Orange County Superior Court judge for many years. I also know three justices of the court of appeals and I just heard a hello from a lawyer who knew me who is now a brilliant superior court judge. And then there are my classmates from USC who are judges. Judges love me."

He also went on to claim that he has an IQ of 191 and that he is so smart that he was studied by a university.

You can't make this stuff up. This guys #1 a lunatic and #2 an egomaniac.

Remember this man remains at large, is armed and extremely ridiculous.

Ronald Ernest Paul...
CAN a man with 3 first names be President?

Now HERE is something the DLC had better think about.
If the republicants change their neoCON colors and nominate Ron Paul, while a so-called 'centrist' DLC gets THEIR 'first pick', ...then can ANYONE guess how America's largest party, the Independents, will vote?

It would be an easy, hands down, no contest, decision for this ol' Indy, anyway.

It's also an EASY way for republicants to retain the power of the Presidency, they just have to give up their criminal neoCON ways, because Dr. Paul would NOT accept them.

Something I DON'T think they're prepared to do...

Dismiss Dr. Paul at your own peril.

The neo cons and dems have felt his bite before.
Not too long ago, 5-6 yrs I think, the neo cons courted the only democratic challenger and asked him to jump ship and come to their side and run as a republican UNOPPOSED!
Well that was all fine and good, but Dr. Paul did not agree to this.
See Dr. Paul has been pissing off democrats here for years.
He will not give them their tax and spend.
He brings no pork.
He will not even vote a pay raise. NEVER! 20 years!
He also is extremely hated by most of the Republican party as well for going against almost all their votes.

Well the neos spent a million dollars in this campaign and Dr. Paul still won with a 15% margin!
They keep saying (dems) he gives NOTHING to our district "How does he keep getting elected"?
He brings NO pork, he will vote "nay" on all our district spending bills?
How does he do it?

The the Neos say, he wont take big oil money.
He is clean as a whistle.
He cant be bought.
He has won every time.
HOW??

You really must live in this district to REALLY appreciate Dr. Paul and his never ending defense of my civil rights and the protection of the constitution.
Looks like there must be a constitution problem..
Otherwise, unless its an economic problem I dont think he would run for office..

It must be one of those two things wrong for him to run.
He has practiced all his life on these to things and actually walks the walk.

People will see.
The bomb will be dropped soon.
The trolls here feel it.
Dr. Paul is the only candidate to report funding and contributions on his web site in REAL TIME...

Go see what his coffers have reached, real-time!

Kevinstupid.

Well now youre talking...If you are for Edwards then you must know he is the only chance the democrats have to beat Ron Paul.
Did you know that I would vote for John Edwards, if I currently werent registered republican?
Oh yeah, and a Ron Paul supporter!!!!
Now see all that hatred you throw at Paul supporters and if you were nicer maybe you could bring some of us back!

BUT NOOOOOOOOOO!

Since when do democrats go against grass roots support such as ron pauls?
Did you know that 97% of his last house run campaign contributions came from individuals?
Did you know the next closest in the Houston/Galveston metro area was Sheila Jackson Lee at 67%?
Yes, Ron is a man for the people. So is John. But I would suggest that Johns multi millions and the fact that his law firm threw katrinas out on their ass, would deserve a Paul vote.
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
BTW: Ron Paul is worth between 2.5 and 3 million.
He owns 2 homes and no stocks or bonds oand only holds gold and silver.
Sounds pretty corporate huh?
Where does John keep his millions?
Is it even in America?
Which hedge fund is that.
Ya know the one that doesnt report to the SEC?

BWAHAHAHA!!!
BTW: I killed two birds with one stone...Watch Misconstrue2 totally ignore this comment!!!

BWAHAHAHAHA!!!

I am a registered democrat. I will vote for Ron Paul if he is on the ballot. He seems like the most sincere person running. I like his views on issues I feel are most important (war, economy). None of the front-runner Dems, or republicans for that matter, appeal to my ideals like he does.

While most republicans want to turn america back to the 1950's Ron Paul wants to turn it back to 1776. We must rewrite the constitution for modern times. We need to eliminate the concept of personal property and personal liberty in favor of social justice and compulsory charity. Ron Paul stands directly against modern living in favor of some broken concept of individual rights.

Government in peacetime costs about three percent of GNP.

The excess taxes are only a means of controlling the people. The money must be wasted some way.
Emanuel Goldstein explains this in George Orwell's novel "1984".

As productivity rises the Government become employer of last resort. Government directly and indirectly more than half the population
in time wasting activity.

The only people sounding even more lunatic and funnier than Ron Paul are Ron Paul fans.

They are hilarious!

Keep it up, Ron Paul fans. Thanks for the free entertainment.

This is wonderful news. The more of Republican money gets spent on this cute but clueless guy the better.

Although, I must admit to liking his stand on the Iraq war. But, that's like a broken clock, which is right twice a day.
