A U.S. official overseeing a probe of potential White House misconduct declared through a spokesman yesterday that he will not give federal investigators copies of personal files that he deleted from his office computer.

The decision by Special Counsel Scott J. Bloch escalates the confrontation between the Bush appointee and the White House, each of which is investigating the other.

Seems to me that here's where WARRANTS come in handy. Records of all sorts have been subject to investigation as long as records have been kept -- if you've got a computer, particularly one used for work, what you have stored there should be no more inviolate than what you have in your two-drawer file cabinet. If Mr. Bloch was served WITH A WARRANT, he should make his records available -- "No, I don't think it's relevant" is not an appropriate response from Bloch or anyone else, WH included. Having his computer deep cleaned, particulary while involved in a high profile investigation, can only infer destruction of relevant information.

Oh, and did I mention WARRANT????? I can't understand what's happening to this concept in America -- Bush says he doesn't need them and, when served by one, says he doesn't have to comply. Is this the kind of thinking that has trickled down to Bloch? Without the basic legal device, we're doomed.

When Pelosi took impeachment off the table, she stole your bill of rights. She made sure she gutted the united states Constitution. WHY, ask yourself. Because she is part of the New World Order.

listen to this excellent audio on Guns and Butter, please. KPFA.

The Bilderberg Group - Rulers of the World
Interview with investigator and author, Daniel Estulin, on his book, "The True Story of the Bilderberg Group", which describes an annual gathering where the European and American political elite, and the wealthiest CEOs of the world, all come together to discuss the economic and political future of humanity. Highly secretive, the press has never been allowed to attend, nor have statements ever been released on the group's conclusions or discussions. Also discussed are the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission.

Would someone please explain this to me? Jesus, this sounds like "Through the Looking Glass."

That Bloch erased and scrubbed the hard drives is typical of every Bush/Cheney cabinet member who wants to elude accountability for their treason, purjury, crimes against humanity and other high crimes.
He wasn't trying to protect his personal data, but erasing any concrete link to Rove and the rest of the corrupt Bush cabinet.
That Pelosi has ruled "Impeachment is off the table" and other Congressional so-called "representatives" are on the dole from their personal financial interests in this war (like Di-Fi with hubby's 23% stake in Carlysle which has netted him at least $2-million), means the real culprits, terrorist and those who have committed treason will probably escape and elude accountability for crimes from which they've handsomely profited.

Don't you see? The President of the United States is now a "King." And the King does whatever the King wants to do... the laws of the land notwithstanding.

"And all the King's horses, and all the King's men... oops, what happened to the king? Fried eggs, anyone?"

Seriously: this is not how this country is governed. And, this is PRECISELY WHY it is not governed in this way.

This story is really screwy. So basically what Blotch is claiming is that when Federal investigators come knocking wanting someones files off their computer,or storage device, they can deny them access by calling it personal information and not related to the crime being investigated?? Hell, thats a great deal for the criminals. So next time the feds knock on a suspected child molesters door wanting to take his computer, he can just say their personal and not relevant, and they say " ok" and leave it alone??

wth?

Is it now justice to the highest bidder? Is anything that touches the Administration left uncorrupted?

I'm left agreeing with the sentiment "throw him in jail until he does". Where are all those 'liberal judges' when you need one?

Gotta love the picture along with this post as he looks like he's either trying to quiet the crowd or bow to mecca! It is so sad that Rove can play dirty hardball and get away with it by association without regard for the truth as the rest of the chimps slime dogs have. To think that congress has not played it tough on the whole group I fear will cost them also at the voting polls. To think such inaction and lack of nerve/backbone might leave us with more republicans when it all shakes out next election is a hard thing to deal with....

And what is the reason for bothering us with this post? Hasn't is been proven that the criminals now ruling America do not have to obey any inconvenient laws?
