NYPD Chauffeured Giuliani's Mistress On Long Trips, Walked Her Dog

New York Daily News:

In the fall of 2001, city cops chauffeured Rudy Giuliani's then-mistress, Judith Nathan, to her parents' Pennsylvania home 130 miles away on the taxpayers' dime.

Records show that city cops refueled at an ExxonMobil station down the road from Nathan's childhood home in Hazleton on Oct. 20, 2001, while Giuliani stayed behind in New York attending 9/11 funerals.

Ron Paul of Texas, pointed out that it was our policy of interventionism that caused the attack on 9/11.

Rudy Giuliani, intensely uncomfortable at having been forced to talk about his liberal positions on abortion, gun control and gay rights, leaped at the opportunity to reprimand Paul for suggesting that we had invited the attack. "I've never heard that," Giuliani snapped, showing that he is ignorant even on matters of security, and demanded that Paul retract it. He didn't, of course. But Giuliani got a big round of applause, as if he had come to the defense of America rather than just cleverly change the subject.

Osama bin Laden, the author of those attacks, has said quite plainly, publicly and explicitly that the attack was prompted by our intervention in the Muslim world. It is outrageous that Giuliani claims not to know that, given that his whole campaign is based on his claim of being the best-qualified leader in matters of security and the so-called war on terror.

Actually, Giuliani isn't an expert on security. He's a lawyer and a political hack. The attack on 9/11 was a political gift of the gods to him. He walked up and down the street in front of the television cameras, gave speeches and went to funerals, and for that he received the accolades of the press.

Giuliani is not a leader. He is a cynical exploiter. He exploited the attack the day it happened, and he's exploited it since to make a fortune posing as an expert security consultant. Now he hopes to exploit the tragedy, which, like the president, he had done nothing to prevent, to get the Republican nomination for the presidency.

The unforgiveable thing is that the dog looks like a Cocker Spaniel. I love nearly all dogs but the Cocker Spaniel just won't do. I'd take up for them if it were a Poodle, or a Dachshund, or a German Shepherd. But for everything else and the Cocker, it's curtains.

The 'saga' of Rudy 'n Judy. Confirmation for the umpteenth time that there's no accounting for taste. I refuse to scratch my head over this any longer. If there is found to be malfeasance on the part of the former Mayor, then the Attorney General of NYC should be compelled to take action. It would seem that based on 'news' reports there exists enough circumstantially corroborative and anecdotal evidence to warrant an investigation. To not investigate would portray the sad and morally bankrupt society of ours for what it really is.
Not that I can personally relate to these specific incidences, but when I think of the times that in my marriage where I'd been duplicitous, it causes me to feel ashamed. I can't apologize to the offended party in person, as She is deceased. But I often offer a silent prayer to Her memory when ever the thought of past transgressions cross my mind. It is the repulsive stench of lies in these situations which I resent. And this is why these stories swirling around Rudolph Guiliani sicken me. Because of first hand experience with my own failures.
