NYPD Chauffeured Giuliani's Mistress On Long Trips, Walked Her Dog

New York Daily News:

In the fall of 2001, city cops chauffeured Rudy Giuliani's then-mistress, Judith Nathan, to her parents' Pennsylvania home 130 miles away on the taxpayers' dime.

Records show that city cops refueled at an ExxonMobil station down the road from Nathan's childhood home in Hazleton on Oct. 20, 2001, while Giuliani stayed behind in New York attending 9/11 funerals.

This is just more of the arrogance which comes from a guy who really BELIEVES his own b.s. Let's face, Giuliani could have shown up at more than one event dressed like a Monarch, or a cowboy President, or any number of other things. There would seem to be some real over compensation in
Giuliani's tough talk express for his cross dressing predilection.

In late 2001, a city auditor came across $34,000 worth of travel expenses buried in the accounts of the New York City Loft Board, the report said.

Government records, obtained through the Freedom of Information act show that Giuliani billed obscure city agencies for tens of thousands of dollars in "security" expenses.

American Express bills and travel documents obtained by 'Politico' detail three summers of visits to Southampton, the Long Island town where Nathan had an apartment.
Auditors 'were unable to verify that these expenses were for legitimate or necessary purposes...'

Giuliani said Thursday the unusual billing practice was not intended to hide anything but instead to speed payment of American Express credit card bills.

But the current New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said today he knew of no problems with the delay of payments before Giuliani was mayor, when Kelly served under Mayor David Dinkins, or since.

(CBS) Mayor Rudy Giuliani has angrily denied a newspaper report that he and his girfriend used the St. Regis Hotel as a 'love nest.'"

"...The Post stands by its story, Col Allan, the newspaper's editor-in-chief, said in a statement. Indeed, the newspaper followed up its original report with a story quoting five unidentified sources as saying Giuliani and his girlfriend, Judi Nathan, had stayed at the hotel. The Post called them 'suite-hearts.'"

"...Bruce Nathan alleges in a custody petition that his ex-wife and Giuliani have mistreated and upset the girl. Nathan says his daughter is disturbed by all the publicity surrounding her mother's life and has suffered problems in school as a result.

Bruce Nathan's custody petition was filed in Manhattan Supreme Court late Monday. The Nathans divorced in 1992; the girl has lived with Bruce Nathan and his present wife since last December, although her primary residence of record is with Judith Nathan."

TALKING POINTS MEMO is swimming in credit card receipts from Rudy Giuliani's administration; one thing in particular has struck us: in 2001, apparently with an eye to future globetrotting, Giuliani's administration sent a check for $400,000 to American Express.

Though the amount was billed to the Assigned Counsel Administrative Office, an office that provides lawyers for indigent defendants, the money served as an advance against Giuliani's future travel, and other expenses later incurred by the mayor's office and his security detail.
