Washington Post:

Former White House aide Karl Rove said yesterday it was Congress, not President Bush, who wanted to rush a vote on the looming war in Iraq in the fall of 2002, a version of events disputed by leading congressional Democrats and even some former Rove colleagues.

Rove said that the administration did not want lawmakers to vote on a resolution authorizing the use of force against Iraq that soon because it would "make things move too fast," before Bush could line up international allies, and politicize the issue ahead of midterm elections. But Democrats and some Republicans involved with the issue at the time said yesterday that Bush wanted a quick vote.

Yes, but you do have to know that Rove will repeat something just enough to make it look like "a fact". And we also know that the minions will grasp it to their bible thumping chests and make it gospel. Talking points, anyone. It doesn't matter that Andy Card said Rove was off base. It just plain doesn't matter in a country so divided by 'the unider' that we will never heal. NEVER. Armegeddon?

be it that no one wants to attached their name to the war in Iraq, proves that we are loosing the war.

Just a couple of weeks ago, the Bush Administration said the surge was working, and we were whening. Now they want to distance themselves from the whole notion of the idea to go into Iraq in the first place.

I really can't believe people can just lie like that!

Let's assume this were true, which it isn't. The vote was to give Bush the authority to use the threat of war against Iraq. The decision of when to invade was Bush's. So what's is Rove's point?

Repulsive little slug, isn't he?

If you repeat a lie enough times, it is still a lie and the repeater is a fool

Now we know where this duplicit "Blame the Democrats" treasonous lie originates.

Those behind the traitor Karl Rove think this is a tactic that will work on the weak-of-mind, confused and medication-dependent 22%ers in our once great country.

Spreading thinking like this is sedition and criminal at best and pure evil at the worst.

This motherfucker should be behind bars!

Rove has not only created his own reality, he has crawled into it and shut the door behind him. If we value our sanity, to say nothing of our country, we had better not join him there.

It's classic Hitler. Tell a bald-faced lie often enough and half the people will believe it.

Wow, Rove is desperate to rewrite history!
The wingnuts will buy it but no sane person will, and he just lost alot of crediability.
Rove looks vulnerable.

Pig Boy is delusional. I guess this is another one of those examples of neocons creting their own reality.
