Washington Post:

Former White House aide Karl Rove said yesterday it was Congress, not President Bush, who wanted to rush a vote on the looming war in Iraq in the fall of 2002, a version of events disputed by leading congressional Democrats and even some former Rove colleagues.

Rove said that the administration did not want lawmakers to vote on a resolution authorizing the use of force against Iraq that soon because it would "make things move too fast," before Bush could line up international allies, and politicize the issue ahead of midterm elections. But Democrats and some Republicans involved with the issue at the time said yesterday that Bush wanted a quick vote.

I'd like to know what ALL of the Presidential candidates who were in Congress at this time, I'd like to hear his/her reactions to this lie.

Serious, it isn't enough to hear what Rove has said (we have 3 posts on this). We need to hear from the Democrats Rove is blaming - who are the candidates running for the Presidency. This would be balance on the part of Adriana's Post - not just get Rove's view point repeated to us over and over, but the one's he is blaming - I'd like to hear from them.

Since George Bush has taken office, he has never accepted responsibility for his own behavior - no Democrat was so powerful and to intimidating to George Bush that it caused George W, the Commander in Chief to drop bombs on Iraq.

This is playing an immature game of victim, rescuer, and persecutor - not behaving as an adult. The victim needs a persecutor to blame - in this Bush the victim needed a strong and frighting Democratic members of Congress to who persecuting him into going to war, a decision he didn't want to make.

I'll be you anything - the Democrat in Congress Bush and Rove are most afraid of is Joe Biden....

Shocking. Truly shocking. Imagine that. Rove is lying. Next thing you know Bush'll start lying. And then who knows, maybe they'll invade a sovereign country.

If you tell a lie long and loud enough people (especially the imbeciles in the red-voting, welfare states) will start believing it.

Now let's all pray.

Rove, is only stating the facts as they will appear in the US History books in three or four generations once future members of the Skull and Bones honor BUSH43 by cleaning up his history by "re-imagining" his Presidency.

That is, of course, if there still is a United States of America in three or four generations ... big question mark there.

By the way , google Charle Rhodes Karl Rove, and watch when Karl Marx Rove was on the show. He Even claims that he's been seriously involved in studying the constitution since before the 4th grade, and claims to have written a 'term' paper on the evils of communism in the 4th grade ??

I dont know about the rest of you , but when I was in 4th grade, we didnt have 'terms', or term papers. Not that I can remember.

So many have cancelled their Newsweek subsciption, that they may have to re-think this one. What the hell were they thinking anyway? I suppose that if any publication could land Satan as a contributor, they'd jump on it. Then again, there's always fox, where the truth is held in able hands, and little karl would be a god. If he were any kind of decent human, he would retire and teach at Liberty, but NOOOO, his fanatical mind will not allow it. He's the gift that keeps on giving. Kinda like Coulter..

Rove left the Wh in order to separate himself from the requirement that all WH communications be copied and saved.

Currently he is out from under any ethics rules (as if he cared) and is working to steal the next election.

As a component of those designs, he is working to drive up the numbers of the deluded from 25% back to the 51% required to continue this endless war and war profiteering.

Rove will beat this mule for a few more weeks until he sees numbers that indicate that the virus has truly infected the body politic, then he will launch another slanderous lie upon the dull-witted.

Look for a discussion to enter the MSM of this lie, then the reactionary assholes will will repeat it citing the NYT and WaPo, without repeating the bits that say "No freaking way is this true."

Bet on it.

I just watched a Disney movie with my kids called 'The Robinsons' . The vilian, Bowler Hat Man , or Goob, reminded me a Bush, and the Hat using him to execute its evil plans, could have been the Neo Con capitalist Nazi's. If youve seen this movie Im sure you know what Im talking about. It would have been funny , except for noticing that.

Correction: The good part is the rest of us will be able to identify the idiots faster when "they" repeat their chief idiot, Rove.

when my great-great-great grandchildren sit in History class and study the first decade of the 21st Century, what do we suppose they will call this period?

The Insanity Period
The Evil Years
The Dark Ages
