Washington Post:

Former White House aide Karl Rove said yesterday it was Congress, not President Bush, who wanted to rush a vote on the looming war in Iraq in the fall of 2002, a version of events disputed by leading congressional Democrats and even some former Rove colleagues.

Rove said that the administration did not want lawmakers to vote on a resolution authorizing the use of force against Iraq that soon because it would "make things move too fast," before Bush could line up international allies, and politicize the issue ahead of midterm elections. But Democrats and some Republicans involved with the issue at the time said yesterday that Bush wanted a quick vote.

Karl KNOWS it's a lie.

It's a controversy TO SELL HIS BOOK.

However, the blogoshpere REALLY bothers the turd(I don't flower up crap with a 'blossum') because HE can't control the message, and he has justifiable fears that, because of blogs, HISTORY has already connected him to 'Bush's War' by association. Ten books authored by him WILL NOT change that, he has blood on his hands too, ...for helping to 'sell' the high crimes and murder for oil.

Is this moron in jail yet? He should not be giving any slack at all.

It is exceedingly clear to me that the Bush administration would say anything to hid their incompetent!

That is why when Bill Clinton said he was against the war from the beginning, it reminds me of what we have now (Bush admin.).

We need change in a big way!!!

Maybe he's beginning to believe his own lies.

Herr Roverer should just shut his fucking mouth. If any American president can be "rushed" into an illegal war that easily, then something seriously is wrong. I do not believe Americans are that stupid to even consider this is anywhere near the truth.

Certainly Rove doesn't think anyone will believe this? He's living on an island or something.

With the hiring of Karl Rove, Newsweek has turned into a the "Propdep" of George Orwell's Ministry of Truth. Perhaps they should rename the magazine, Newspeak, in honor of their new columnist.

Rove is a sociopath, with no ethics or morality whatsoever. What he's doing by stirring up controversy with this idiotic rewriting of history is, selling books. That's what this is all about, sales of his future book.

After they surgicly removed Ann Coulter's smegma, and sprinkled it with sugar...Rove was created.

"He who will not be named" is ashes on the dust heap of history.

And *asterik on the pimple of the butt of BUSHCO.

Rotten "Eggie"
Smells to high heaven..

Barney is sooo happy
not to have the stench
in his nostrils ever again.

Darby's stuck with the little cabin.

Rove's off to Florida-
Jeb's much more fun,
and he rolls right over.

Where is Bandar to hold your hand
when you really, really need him.

And, he really thought
that BUSHCO paper issued to him
would be worth some moola down the line.

Enroned and Cheneyed by Bush.
A righteous ending to the worm that turned.

He is bound by his words.
So far, so good.

Regarding when it is/was time to take it to the streets, we will truly know!

When sites like this are terminated and the elections called off, it's time.

When Bush's Presidential Directive 51 closes down Congress, it's time.

When that time comes, it is not protest signs that it has become time for.

"I'm a patient man. And when I say I'm a patient man, I mean I'm a patient man. Nothing he [Saddam Hussein] has done has convinced me — I'm confident the Secretary of Defense — that he is the kind of fellow that is willing to forgo weapons of mass destruction, is willing to be a peaceful neighbor, that is — will honor the people — the Iraqi people of all stripes, will — values human life. He hasn't convinced me, nor has he convinced my administration." —George W. Bush, Crawford, Texas, Aug. 21, 2002
