Washington Post:

Former White House aide Karl Rove said yesterday it was Congress, not President Bush, who wanted to rush a vote on the looming war in Iraq in the fall of 2002, a version of events disputed by leading congressional Democrats and even some former Rove colleagues.

Rove said that the administration did not want lawmakers to vote on a resolution authorizing the use of force against Iraq that soon because it would "make things move too fast," before Bush could line up international allies, and politicize the issue ahead of midterm elections. But Democrats and some Republicans involved with the issue at the time said yesterday that Bush wanted a quick vote.

So if the war turns out to be a smashing success, will Pig Boy continue to say the Dems were the ones responsible for it?

The nerdy boys in highschool always had smirks on their faces when you passed them in the hallways- they all grew up to be the Karl Roves- it's their way on revenging the popular kids who made fun of their nerdiness...

If this sleazebag has so much to say, why doesn't he go to congress and testify?
Oh, maybe because that would be under oath.
He can't answer subpoenas, but he gets media coverage to spew out his delusions.

This criminal should be in jail. It is disgusting that we should have to hear anything he has to say.

Karl is a one-trick pony... never the "genius" he's been coronated by the stenographic press, just a recidivist liar, dirty-trickster and slogan-slinger with no moral goal in mind -- only "winning".

There is no "war on terror", there is no "clear skies initiative", there is no "no child left behind program", there is no "freedom on the march", there are no "cut and run" Dems and -- in a real sense -- there is no Karl Rove. Just his lies.

I have never been an advocate for violence, but beyond the point of a really good ass-kicking, nothing will remedy Rove's attitude, or make him admit he was deliberately wrong. Maybe an aggresive cell-mate could change all of that.

Future Historical Revisons by Karl Rove:

George Bush is a well-read, articulate policy wonk who devoutly believes in the separation of church and state. He reminds people of Lincoln.

Dick Cheney's number one priority is protecting the environment. He believes,as Eisenhower did, that preemptive wars are insane.

Karl did not know Jack Abramoff.

Condi Rice is Dean Acheson in a skirt and very nice shoes.

Saddham Hussein was directly responsible for 9/11, the lead in Chinese toys, and he caused cancer in many young adults. The Iraq War has nothing to do with oil. It's about liberating the Iraqis from tyranny.

Osama Bin Laden and Al Gore are distant cousins.

Every Easter, a big rabbit goes hippity-hoppity, and shits colored eggs.

This has GOT to be one of the most blatant outright lies ever attempted to be told by a former public official (at least an appointed one).

Karl,... it is a lie, and outright lie, and a boldface lie that the President didn't want Congress to pass this legislation before they had a chance to think about it and reflect at how bad an idea it might be.

There are documented public appearances where the President, Vice President, and numerous other White House insiders contradict what it is that you are trying to spin.

The next time he tries to say this in any interview forum, the interviewer needs to look briefly incredulous, and then laugh pointedly at Rove, and then tell him "Mr. Rove, you are either deluded, or you are a complete liar."

And then ask him to leave the interview until he seeks and receives the mental help that he so obviously needs.

"I will not support a publication which chooses to give a platform to the most divisive, incendiary propagandist that our country has ever known, Karl Rove."

Good for you, Richard 729! I agree. Boycott the stupid magazine until they drop Rove in the mud where he belongs.

NO ONE has done more damage to the United States, in the past ten years, than Karl Rove. He should be on trial, not posting his propaganda in a national magazine.

As for the publication: Shame on you, Newsweek! I will not buy another issue until you dump Rove. His views are not a counter balance to the Daily Kos or anyone else. You're simply enabling a thug to continue his disreputable tactics with a high profile.

What I want to know is why the cowardly democrats are making lameassed comments like, "I think Rove may be confused" Or "His memory must be faulty"

WHY NOT JUST SAY IT LIKE IT IS?

"Rove is lying. Pure and simnple and we're going to slam him into the ground showing all the facts that his boss Chimpy McFlightsuit was pushing for war to appease his Neo Clown bosses and war profiteer buddies"

But Nooooo they just hem and haw and try to give Rove an out by saying he is probably just a little mistaken and poor guy, we shouldn't get on him for trying to protect his boss and blah blah blah.

Dems are a Ffucking bunch of cowardly pussies.

My Newsweek cancellation letter sent November 23 (abridged) and how we all can make a difference: Hit their bottom line!

To: Chief Editor, Newsweek Magazine: I canceled my subscription to Newsweek today. Though my subscription is not due to expire until May 26, 2008 I have made this decision, not impulsively, but after a thorough weighing of my conscience and my personal beliefs. I will not support a publication which chooses to give a platform to the most divisive, incendiary propagandist that our country has ever known, Karl Rove.

Karl Rove’s liturgy spouts the inflammatory message that all of G. W. Bush’s critics are unpatriotic, un-American, godless people who hate our troops and want to give aid and comfort to the terrorists.

Karl Rove, as most of us who have followed his trail of speeches and statements over the years, has no college degree in any subject yet his opinions on subjects such as health care and global warming are accepted as gospel by millions of Republican acolytes, accepted and treated as if they are inviolable.

His rhetoric of hate is being challenged by a growing concern for our individual freedoms and liberties by millions of Americans who are no longer afraid to speak up and who have seen and heard enough. I am but one of those in this growing national trend.

Remember, it was G. W. Bush who expressed his contempt for our democratic election process when he stated shortly before the November 2006 election that “America loses and terrorists will win if Democrats win and impose their policies on Iraq.”

Thank you for providing so many past years of good, unbiased reporting and thanks to your many fine columnists who I’m sure will keep up the good work. Unfortunately, your owners/editors have chosen a much more partisan direction, one which will undoubtedly influence millions of peoples’ opinions in the upcoming 2008 election.

Most Americans have had a bellyful of Karl Rove. I too have had enough of Karl Rove and now I’ve had enough of Newsweek.

It is so neat and tidy, wrapped up as a Christmas present...or is it a Chanukah present? This:
"The administration was opposed to voting on it in the fall of 2002, Rove said, because we didn't think it belonged within the confines of the election. There was an election coming up within a matter of weeks. We thought it made it too political. We wanted it outside the confines of it. It seemed to make things move too fast. There were things that needed to be done to bring along allies and potential allies abroad."
You know when people like this one lie,
we should not even repeat it. We should just let the lie fade of its own weight.
But then we could take him at his words because he would not be the type of guy to compromise people's lives and national security, by outing an agent that works for our country.
No, square business, he, Karl Rove, would do no such thing. But you know what? These people claim to speak and act for America, and their behavior is so unamerican, that it cannot get much worse.
But, there is a God in Heaven.
