Liar? Miss Puerto Rico's Clothing And Makeup Test Negative For Pepper Spray

Police probing allegations that someone put pepper spray on a Puerto Rican beauty contestant's clothing said Saturday they would investigate whether anyone lied to them after tests found no traces of the substance on the woman's belongings.

Miss Puerto Rico Universe Ingrid Marie Rivera and pageant organizers claimed that someone had laced her makeup and doused her clothing with a chemical they believed to be pepper spray during the November 23 contest in an attempt to knock her out of the running.

Here is the title of the article that is linked to:

She said that there was pepper spray. That makes her a liar. Leave the question marks out of headlines - that is irritating beyond description.

It's still a little early to call her a liar unless you just hate pageant contestants. More testing would have to be done for other irritants, not just pepper spray. Is she a fake? Maybe, but it's hardly proof that something wasn't sprayed on her possessions at this point.

Besides, I'd have to say that 90% of the women in Puerto Rico are beauties. That's got to be some tuff competition.

It just means she's Republican. Perhaps her phone records will show a call from Karl Rove. A "consultation". Not that Rove likes women all of a sudden.

If she won the crown out of sympathy on the part of the panel of judges, it serves them and the silly contest right. The judges need to eat their disingenuous votes and consider this a learning experience, rather than taking the crown away from her for their own mistake.
