Many of Indonesia's islands may be swallowed up by the sea if world leaders fail to find a way to halt rising sea levels at this week's climate change conference on the resort island of Bali.

Doomsters take this dire warning by Indonesian scientists a step further and predict that by 2035, the Indonesian capital's airport will be flooded by sea water and rendered useless; and by 2080, the tide will be lapping at the steps of Jakarta's imposing Dutch-era Presidential palace which sits 10 km inland (about 6 miles).

Sea levels have risen and fallen for eons.

The people will have to get out of the way if the water rises.

This is not the end of the world.

While this freak show of ignorance blissfully rolls along a truly huge anomalous warming event rivaling this past summer's sea ice melt is taking place in the Arctic:

A question was asked, about the Kyoto treaty.

Most on the right say, that reducing our carbon usage will cripple our economy.

Imagine that- if we use less $90/bbl fuel, we will hurt our economy.

Well, we'll certainly hurt the OIL companies' economy, and OPEC's economy. But improving efficiency, reducing waste, and building new and better infrastructure and technologies can only VASTLY IMPROVE our economy.

It is better to invest in infrastructure, than to pay rent on fuel.

So, have all you "skeptics" come to a concensis about whether the planet is getting warmer? Cause you all still seem to be very confused on that basic and all important point. It showcases the fact that NONE OF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!!! You've become sideshow freaks, and a laughing stock. ROFLMAO!

Oh, and if nothing else, Going Green usually means saving money in the long run. I know, most nowadays want instant savings, but a nice slow savings is nothing to sneeze at.
So even the anti global warming crowd is interested in saving money. Correct??

Funny.

Climatologists, meteorolgists and scientists can't tell me if it will be cloudy next wednesday...

...but they want me to believe they know what it will be like in 2080.

If you believe them...then I've got a piece of toast with Jesus' face on it you'll want to buy.

Global Warming is such a problem, let us all fly to Bali in private jets that have to be flown empty to another island because we don't have enough parking spaces on Bali...then when the conference is over, we can fly empty again to Bali to pick them up....can you say CARBO FOOTPRINT OF A GIANT?

Sea level rise won't be a problem. Since the Earth is flat, the excess water will flow harmlessly over the edges, just like when you fill up an ice cube tray. Just remember to hold the Earth over the sink, so the dripping water doesn't make a mess.

This just goes to prove Bush is behind Global Warming!!! Indonesia is home to the largest group of Muslims in the world . . . .

What a hideously devious way to rid the world of millions upon millions of Muslims!!!!

Oh, this is just horrible!!!!!

Scientists who are deniers should be put on public trial and then burned alive. That will show others what will happen if the earth gets any hotter.

IPCC Report:

23 inches by 2100. If your sitting less than two feet above sea level, you're already getting wet from the High Tides.

The Earth is slowly going to remove its cancer -Humankind - from its surface.

The Planet will be fine - the phrase "Save the Planet" is a Joke. Save Humankind should be the mantra. However, Humankind will destroy itself - America will take the lead.

Man-made global warming may be real, but we will never know. The 'scientists' that support this theory are mostly paid by people who want it to be true. If the 'scientists' don't agree with the hypothesis, their funding is cut. Most are not impartial.
