Imus Returns

AP:

Don Imus returned to the airwaves Monday eight months after he was fired for a racially charged remark about the Rutgers women's basketball team, and introduced a new cast that included two black comedians.

Imus' lineup of guests featured two presidential hopefuls, Democrat Chris Dodd and Republican John McCain. As he did several times in the days after the episode, Imus condemned his controversial remark last spring and said he had learned his lesson.

There is Anne a 66-year-old grandmother from Gainesville Florida who along with her husband took her first trip to New York City this past June, so she could stand outside the big window at The Today Show and have her pro-Imus signs confiscated by NBC Security. A moment she still brags about. Later her and others waited outside the WFAN studios in Astoria for a once in a life time chance to meet Charles McCord.

That's disgusting what he says about Senator Clinton.

Why does he have so much hate in him?

Didn't he learn anything from the cruel and hurtful remarks he made about the women's basketball team.

I'd like to know WHY he's so nasty towards her.

I like Don Imus. I like him because he does not pretend to be anything other than who he is. In that regard he is unlike Al Sharpton and President Bush.

Yesterday, on Imus' return to the airways, he said " Cheney is still a criminal, Hillary is still satan, and I'm back on the air." Huffpo's headline quoted him. Today, the Huffpo headline omits the comment about Cheney, and includes only the Hillary comment.

Has Huffpo been censored? Why use only half the quote?

Just curious.

The IMUS SHOW reminds me of still another
FAUX REALITY SHOW which should be titled,

"JUST HOW STUPID ARE THESE AMERICAN CITIZENS WHO LISTEN TO THIS TRIPE!" or

'THE MOUTH THAT SOURED!" or
that old favorite reprised from decades ago

'UNCOUTH AND CONSEQUENCES!"

I notice the racist fascist Al Sharpton was on Larry King. One of the old broads from "The View" was hosting.

Sharpton is asserting it is right to censor the people's airwaves. Sharpton is un American.

Sharpton hosts his own radio talk show and makes regular guest appearances on The O'Reilly Factor and MSNBC.

I think Sharpton should be taken off the air because he promoted hatred of white police and Korean merchants with false charge of racism. Sharpton has promoted racial violence in New York. He has accused white cops of raping black
women.

I will only accept Sharpton's appology if shares a watermelon on the View TV show with Don Imus and lets Imus spit seeds at him.

I notice that the jerk McGirk is back as well. Bad enough Imus, but worse is that sick son of a bitch. I wonder how long it'll be before he starts spewing out his crap. If my memory is correct he started that particular incident. Mostly, Imus would listen to McGirk's hate messages and reply with a shake of his head and a "tsk, tsk" but that time he got right into it. Imus or McGirk,if either one of them is allowed to regress as time goes on,their asses should be kicked off the airwaves permanently. But that's in a perfect world and as long as the likes of Limbaugh are allowed free rein, expect more of the same.

The bench for radio talk-show hosts is mighty thin if Imus is back.

isn't there an FCC preclusion against smelly senile bile spewing old geezers who haven't washed their hair in 20 or 30 years??? imus is irrelevant to global, national, or even local politics -- what was his 'following', if any really existed, apart from the corporatist shills attempting to cultivate a folksy populism to cloak their neofascist propaganda, has long been retired to red state nursing homes, assisted care facilities, all at medicare expense, btw, which they once railed against as 'socialized medicine', or, red state graveyards.... good riddance...
