Jennifer Love Hewitt Defends Bikini Pictures: "A Size 2 Is Not Fat!"

Jennifer Love Hewitt, newly engaged, has taken to her blog over the criticism of her body during the widespread distribution of photos of her in a bikini.

This is the last time I will address this subject.

I've sat by in silence for a long time now about the way women's bodies are constantly scrutinized. To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image.

A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn't make you beautiful.

What I should be doing is celebrating some of the best days of my life and my engagement to the man of my dreams, instead of having to deal with photographers taking invasive pictures from bad angles. I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family. And like all women out there should, I love my body.

To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini -- put it on and stay strong.

The size game is just a game.
I was a size 4 Petite from 1990 till 1997...a size 2 Petite before that from Jr High till after my 2nd child in 1989 when I was 34.
I could wear little girls size 12 pants and tops...I am NOT kidding.I still have a little boys cub scout t-shirt that the pages of Seventeen Magazine was showing in 1973 that I wore with my hip huggers it's a little boys size 10...my son wore it when he was 7!!!!!

Now if you hold my size old 4 Petites up to today's size 0's they are SURPRIZE...the exact same size!!!!! Fact is the waist of the size 0 is bigger by a 1/2" !!!!

Somebody is playing a terrible mind game with girls & women today and if they are stupid enough to buy into it well, then they are just that STUPID.

WEAR WHAT FITS and FUCK the size label!!!!!!!

Besides REAL men LOVE soft women...not fat but soft and JLH is SOFT in all the right places according to my husband and my 19 year old son who says she's his idea of what a REAL woman's body should look like.

Marilyn Monroe's measurements would fit in a size 16 in todays clothes...Jane Mansfield would probably be a 18 on top and a 12 on the bottom! Go figure.

I read this article because I thought I was going to read something strong and not trite. I read down to the comments, thinking there might be some intelligent conversation but all these prove to me why I think HuffPost needs to cut out the nonpolitical pieces. This article and the replies are silly, unintelligent and diametrically opposed to what liberal thinkers stand for. Since when are we concerned about Hollywood celebrities' weight? I'm sorry honey, you are not a size 2. Is that bad? No. But for you to say that you are a size two is misleading, you are at least a size six. That's not fat either.

The fact that you are lying about your size makes me sick and you continue to perpetuate an ideal that is not attainable by most girls and women. You seem to be your own worst enemy.

So let me say it again, size six is not fat, I would dare to say that fat doesn't even begin until size 12.

Of course a size 2 is not fat! Unfortunately, cellulite knows no weight. You could be 100 pounds and have cellulite on your bottom and legs. I had a friend in college who was a stick, but guess what - she had cellulite up the wazoo! It was a very unfortunate situation! However, she still wore those shorts and mini-skirts!

This is SICK!!! JLH is a size 2 and you guys think she's fat? It's no wonder that we have women dropping from anorexia and bulimia every day. When I see a girl who looks thin, my first thought is, "I'd like to take her to dinner... and buy her a bacon cheeseburger with cheese fries and an ale. Of course, the young guys like a tiny woman because they lack the confidence to be with a woman who they can't pick up. It's a caveman thing. This "thin is in" shit is screwing up our culture.

At the high end she'd be at most about a size 7, at the low end she'd be a size 2. Just looking at her there's no possible way she's 141 pounds.

Pictures might not lie, but they don't tell the whole story.Her bikini bottom could have shifted while she was in the water.Who knows? But what I DO know is that JLH is bangin'!
