Karith Foster, Imus' New (Black, Female) Sidekick

The black sidekick joining shock jock Don Imus on his return to the airwaves today is an Oxford-educated Texas cowgirl whose career has ranged from broadcast journalism to stand-up comedy, sources told The Post.

Karith Foster, a Harlem resident who grew up outside Dallas, was brought on by Imus to ease tension stirred up by his racist comment about the Rutgers women's basketball team, which got him booted in April, sources said.

Really happy that Don Imus can resume his frequently muddled, sometimes clever, often towel-snapping, puzzlingly loyal to loser politicians, regularly tedious, now and then brilliant pastiche...

How appropriate that a converted invasion cheerleader like Tom Friedman will be a guest.

Stopped watching well before his "nappy-headed" stumble... it's just too much WORK sifting through all the aimless flotsam.

I really feel bad for Imus! I wouldn't want to deal with all the scrutiny he's now having to deal with. He made a mistake, and he had his time sitting in the corner. He's had his little time out. Everyone needs to get off his back and start worrying about their own short comings. Believe me, Imus learned his lesson!

Most troubling was the PSA that said Gambling followed Curtis and Kuby. Guess they forgot who is not on before Gambling. Minor technical difficulties.

The show will evolve and get back to normal very quickly. But expect this first week to be relatively mild.

Anyone who continues to say, "Cheney is a war
criminal" is a friend of mine. The one thing
I don't understand is how Imus can still
support McCain. How can Imus do that?
McCain is a guy who crawled on his knees to the
very people who slimed his wife and daughter,
what kind of "MAN" is that? And McCain's total
lack of reality on the war and a long list of
issues is astonishing. But I am delighted that
Imus is back, and that he will NOT be muzzled
on the issues.
