Karith Foster, Imus' New (Black, Female) Sidekick

The black sidekick joining shock jock Don Imus on his return to the airwaves today is an Oxford-educated Texas cowgirl whose career has ranged from broadcast journalism to stand-up comedy, sources told The Post.

Karith Foster, a Harlem resident who grew up outside Dallas, was brought on by Imus to ease tension stirred up by his racist comment about the Rutgers women's basketball team, which got him booted in April, sources said.

I watched Imus on RFD-TV this morning and it was wonderful. I like the new woman and think she's going to be good. Tom Friedman of the NYT and Mike Huckabee are on tomorrow - so much for his show not attracting A listers!

It's not over until Imus replaces Moron Joe on MSNBC. Moron Joe, Mika and Boy Toy Geist are objectively horrible, every day and should be taken off the air because they are so bad, dishonest and beneath mediocrity.

But listening to Imus this morning, I forgot the positive -- that it's actually possible to have real comic brilliance. I wasn't sure if Imus would be able to make the transition to a seriously non-racist, non-sexist show, but listening him today I heard someone I liked better than the Imus of old.

Finally. A morning with Imus, still in wonderment about his idolization of McCain, the dulcet tone of Charles McCord's wonderful voice. No more Joey the Scar and his crap show. I listed up until the time of the wife appearance (Hackensack Hosp. sponsored) so I guess she had to be on, hope she's not a regular. Kudos Imus. Great show and look forward to my mornings again..

Several have said they loved the show guess they are lip readers. They bleeped the talent numerous times guess their objective is to not let anything out that can possibly offend anyone. I predict if they keep that tight a leash even old fans are gonna come back then drift away.

She will probably be way more interesting and intelligent than Imus (not that that's saying much, but you get the point). A year from now they'll dump him and keep her. That was a smart move on her part.

Gee, Imus hires a "show" black. There is an old Woody Allen routine about him working for a waspy ad agency in NY as the "show" jew. he reads his memos from right to left...you know stuff like that . Very funny. He eventually gets fired for taking off too many Jewish holidays.

A nice analogy for what Imus is up to. I just wonder if Ms Foster is also Jewish?
