What the hell is Young Hollywood? A remake of Young Frankenstein?

I'm getting annoyed with the stress on celebrity endorsements.

Remember the "Vote or Die" campaign? Paris Hilton wore that damned shirt for publicity, but she wasn't even a registered voter. It didn't affect anybody; so if celebrities can't even get their audience to vote, why would I care who they support. It's not like they get a second ballot for being famous.

And that goes for the ad on the main page of huffpost that shows who donated money to whom.

I. Dont. Care.

Edwards is the best candidate in this race. We don't need all of the atrocities in the world blamed on a black guy. With an Obama win comes the expectation that he can solve the race problem with the waving of a magic wand. The whites who do support him support him because they want to be absolved of their racial guilt, and put a black face on foreign policy. People need to be less concerned with symbolism and the first black or the first woman, and more concerned with implementing justice. It doesn't matter who gets the credit, as long as the job gets done. People say Edwards is far left? Shoot, these same people can't fill up their cars with gas, are drowning in debt, losing their homes but will never admit that they feel, and in fact are vulnerable. Obama and to a lesser extent Clinton, are what people want, Edwards is what we need.

Well, that is all I needed to hear. I was going to vote for Edwards but now I'm going to vote for Obama.

ANOTHER CONVERSATION BETWEEN HILLARY & BILL:

Hillary: Look, Obama is surging in Iowa. I've got to stop him.

Bill: How are you going to do that?

Hillary: Well, planting questions to make me look sharper than I am didn't work, so I think I might go back to Obama's days in Kindergarten. Tell voters about the essays he wrote.

Bill: Bad idea.

Hillary: No!! Its a freakin' good idea! Because if he wrote a paper opposing Bert and Ernie, or an essay scheming to steal Cookie Monster's cookies, that could hurt him. If he wrote a paper criticizing Big Bird, that could seriously hurt him with the Poultry industry.

Bill: You're serious?

Hillary: Yes! We already have some gay supporters on The Huffington Post consistently bringing up the McClurkin appearance for Obama but refusing to bring up my ties with homophobes. That's good. One notorious gay poster just attacks me for Kyl-Lieberman or other bills. This poster refuses to attack me for my homophobic ties, but he always zeros in on Obama. That kind of hypocrisy can only work in my favor!

Bill: Huh?

Hillary: And we have some people-

Hillary: Why not?

Bill: You're in big trouble! I told you last year that Obama was unstoppable. BARACK-TV is smoldering! He's the man!

No matter who actually supports the candidates, these dumb stories get circulated. Obama is the Youth Vote, and Hillary is the Baby Boomer Female Vote.

This is crap, you guys. We need to ask better questions and stop just rolling with the demographics handed to us by lazy reporters and even lazier editors.

What about the young stars and starlets in rehab / jail / probation? Inquiring minds want to know who Britney, Lindsey, Paris, et al support! This is huge! Ha!

I wonder if they would come out for Obama if he was white.

OH, if Jessica BIEL supports him, that's a whole other story. Sheesh.

This being the primary it's actually a pretty big thing. This is eating away at Hillary's support within Hollywood. She may just have to spend some time in CA and not consider it a "FIREWALL" after Iowa. Chip away at all corners. OBAMA 08!

Let's not turn this into a "young vs. old" issue of whether or not to vote for Barack Obama. Our country is in desperate need of someone who can unite us. (Vote Barack). We need someone who makes good judgements. (Vote Barack). We DESPERATELY need someone who is not beholding to big money or Fox. (Vote Barack). We need someone who includes very talented people who are looking forward as well as those who know history. (Vote Barack). Oh by the way, I am someone who is old, so old, as well. I have been voting Democratic longer than many have been alive. I am voting for Barack. Barack/Edwards '08 or Edwards/Barack '08. Whatever.
