Exclusive: The Complete Huckabee-Dumond Files

As governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee aggressively pushed for the early release of a convicted rapist despite being warned by numerous other women that the convict had sexually assaulted them or their family members, and would likely strike again. The convict went on to rape and murder at least one other woman.

But confidential files obtained by the Huffington Post show that Huckabee was provided letters from several women who had been sexually assaulted by Dumond and who indeed predicted that he would rape again - and perhaps murder - if released.

And, per my small spot-sampling, hardly ANY on what galls ME the most in this entire story:

In 1999, then-Governor Huckabee freed a rapist BECAUSE one of the rape victims was distantly related to his predecessor and then-President Bill Clinton.

It's just that simple. And despicable.

Even if you forgive Huckabee for the fact that Dumond, post-release, goes on to rape (again) and murder.

If the particulars in this article are true, Huckabee is apparently guilty of using his political position to pander to his ultra right supporters by feeding their hate and releasing a serious risk back into society. Being a "religious" man, I am sure he can relate to the tale of Pilate and the release of Barabbas, and the contempt that such pandering brings on this kind of a misuse of position.

The fact that this pandering was a miscarriage of justice and resulted also in the further rape and death of innocents was of no matter to this swine.
In addition to criminal prosecution for these acts, the survivors of these atrocities enabled by Huckabee should sue for the maximum civil damages as well.

One small observation about Huckabutt, for all his religious pretentions to saintliness his claims to morality doesn't extend to referring to "democratic governors" rather than Gingrich grade school level "democrat governors". I'd really like to know what "God" Huckabee is referring to. After reading those letters, no one who claims to "love your neighbor like yourself" would ever release that monster to victimize another innocent human being. I hope he has the decency to drop out now and spare the victims and their families the pain of reliving this horror he brought on them. What a total, dispicable fraud.
