House and Senate negotiators working on an intelligence bill have agreed to limit CIA interrogators to techniques approved by the military, which would effectively bar them from using such harsh methods as waterboarding, congressional aides said Wednesday.

Members of the House and Senate intelligence committees decided to include the ban while working out differences in their respective bills authorizing 2008 spending for intelligence programs, according to the aides, who spoke anonymously because the negotiations were private. Details of the bill are to be made public Thursday.

Let's just limit questioning to asking nicely.

Senate, do you insist that the CIA be lawful, when GW will sign it out of law.

If you really want to stop torture make it illegal for politicians to talk. I have a dream.

Here is the video that goes along with the photo that illustrates this story.

It's some sort of street protest or performance art or something.

Make sure you check out the female interrogator. She is into her part, big time.

Congress actually believes Bush will obey?
Enough lies, deception, torture and death!
Don't let the proof you should have impeached be WW III.

How many insults from BushCo to you and the entire American constitutional way of life does it take for you to impeach?

Hearings don't work.. You meet with arrogant obstruction every time. You and your subpoenas are laughed at and ignored.

Haven't you had enough? Aren't you tired of playing defense? Wouldn't you like to wipe that smug smirk off Bush and Cheneys faces?

In your hands, you have the impeachment bill 333.

Impeach Cheney. Executive privilege does not extend to impeachment. The Constitution forbids pardons for impeachment.

The House and Senate are irrelevant to this administration, without the balls to bring up impeachment they have admitted defeat and we all know it.

Who cares what the House and Senate agree to?
Obviously the Cheney administration doesn't.

The Cheney administration will just do it anyway after telling Congress to go fuck itself. They were clearly told that it wasn't ok to waterboard and torture before and so they had their little toady, Gonzales, come up with a "secret" legal opinion to the contrary and did it anyway...

And Congress didn't do shit. They are all spineless losers. Kinda like Joe Biden saying that if Dubya attacks Iran Joe will vote for impeachment... whatever. The time to do it is now, enough already! These creeps need to be stopped.....

Why not write them an email and tell them so?

Why keep the CIA and WH within the law? GW, it's time for another signing statement.
