Civil rights icon Andrew Young says Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is too young and lacks the support network to ascend to the White House.

In an interview posted online, Young also quipped that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton has her husband behind her, and that "Bill is every bit as black as Barack."

How "black" was the NAFTA agreement?

What a horrible comment from Andrew Young. It is an insult to black people and women. I think that the older African American establishment sees Barack as a threat. He is stealing their thunder. As an older civil rights supporter, I welcome a younger generation, with fresh ideas. Maybe they can make progress to heal this divide. Listen to Oprah's speech. He is the one!

It matters not what Andy Young thinks. It matters what we, the voters, think. Mr Obama is young and not so experienced in Washington matters... or maybe international relations. And that is exactly what we Americans needs. Incidentally, I am 65++ and I strongly feel that unless we get some new ideas and attitudes this country is in deep caca. We need an energy policy and we need to talk with our enemies to make peace. We need to de-fund the war machine and spend the money on the commonweal. We can lead the world. Obama looks pretty good to me.

"OBAMA PORTRAIT" Music Video on Youtube
For those of you who still have not heard:

There is a WONDERFUL and INSPIRING video on Youtube.com entitled "OBAMA PORTRAIT MUSIC VIDEO BY BJARNE O."

You can use the free downloaded high-quality stereo version from the composer"s website in DVD form to show at house parties. Even people who knew nothing at all about Obama have been moved.

The music soundtrack, which incorporates excerpts from the famous 2004 speech, can also be downloaded separately in high-quality.

AND, FOR EXAMPLE, PLEASE NOTE:

I've shared this video with everyone I know. They've replied with tremendous gratitude. They're now sharing with friends and family and suggesting to send out as gifts for the holidays. Yes, great reception because this could be the greatest gift AMERICA could receive.

It is an uplifting and informative campaign tool.

So please, SPREAD THE WORD.

How very generous for Young, a paid walmart shill, to share the sum of his experience to encourage us not to vote for Obama.
Some people have no shame. And most politicians are famous by selling out the right people just in time to ensure nothing will change and THE PARTY is 'saved' from changing.

These comments were more than pathetic, they were degrading and embarrassing. He should apologize to Senator Obama and Black women. Hillary should publically distance herself from this guy.

My question to blacks reading this: What on earth are Clinton's alleged "black" qualities? Being a liar? Hormone-driven?
I don't buy it; I think it's libelous. What is your take on it?

Let me first apologize for my language before I start!

Who is this moronic "icon" that no body has ever heard about?

To say that Clinton is as black as Obama, one has to have a brain the size of pea! What an idiot!!!

What does it mean to be black?

1) Handing out welfare to those that can help themselves?

2) Smoking a marijuana(albeit not inhaling,ya)?

3) Disgracing the oval office by getting a you know what?

4) "Pimpin" out the Lincoln bedroom- pay me and go do what ever you want in there?

5) Standing by while a group of Rwandans slaughtered each other?

What it is that makes Clinton black is all I am trying to wrap my head around! This IMBECILE needs to get his head examined!

I am just sick and tired of hearing Clinton is black nonsense!!!

I think folks need to review the FULL video of Andrew Young's comments. While I respect what he has accomplished, he's definitely slipping in the sanity department - the line he said after the "Bill is every bit as black as Barack" was "Bill Clinton's probably been with more black women than Obama". Rather disgusting, derogatory and deranged IMHO. And listen to his other absolutely absurb prerequisites - "Obama needs a circle of protection". If this kind of stupidity makes up support for Hillary Clinton in the black community, then the Afr-American community would do well to divorce itself from that campaign. And yes, I speak as a fellow African-American.

Bill Clinton intervened in Kosovo to save white Europeans and did nothing to help black Africans in Rwanda; the only thing more "black" about him is he got a fat white woman to blow him!

The only reason the mainstream black political establishment is supporting Hillary Clinton boils down to one word and one word only JOBS (for them).

A lot of them are really pissed at Barack because they hitched their career wagons to the "sure bet" of Hillary Clinton, and then comes Barack who stands the best chance of upsetting their career goals.

They'd much rather have Barack agree to wait for "his turn," so that they can have their 8 years of steady employment under Hillary, with Barack running after that.

Barack is not playing politics and favoritism as usual, and this is pissing a lot of people off.

Joe Biden has experience - in fact is the most experienced Democrat or Republican candidate.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a mere 39 years old when he was assassinated, and can anyone question either his ability to lead or his profound influence on America and the world?

JFK was 43 years old when he was inaugurated and Teddy Roosevelt only 42, and both inspired the nation to follow new directions with impressive results.

Bill Clinton was 46 when he took office, had no military experience and no legislative experience. Like Bill, Hillary has no military experience, and like Obama, no executive experience.

Andrew Young's conclusions are stunningly disingenuous and one wonders if his real concern is that he'd not enjoy the same status and access in the Obama administration as he enjoyed in the Clinton administration.

As for the notion that Obama would not have the "protective network" Hillary Clinton will assume as Bill Clinton's heir is not in the least reassuring, instead endorsing the notion that "insider status" is more important than grass roots support.

Obama needn't fret. There will be over 60 million voters to cover his back when he's in the White House.

What do you think would happen to the person that said "Barack is every bit as white as Clinton?" Such a double standard in race remarks. Oh wait a minute...when someone did say he was "Clean and articulate" he was lynched...

I am glad someone finally said it - maybe in 12 to 20 years after some years of experience, but right now he has no experience - and an empty wallet is an empty wallet no matter how much it shines on the outside.
