Science fiction writers have suggested a future Earth populated by a blend of all races into a common human form. In real life, the reverse seems to be happening. People are evolving more rapidly than in the distant past, with residents of various continents becoming increasingly different from one another, researchers say.

"I was raised with the belief that modern humans showed up 40,000 to 50,000 years ago and haven't changed," explained Henry C. Harpending, an anthropologist at the University of Utah. "The opposite seems to be true."

Very interesting article/findings. Some are hypothetical. Evolution is also happening in humans, not through natural selection, but through self-awareness in fulfilling our potential which is ultimately the ultimate (and paradoxically already IS), tho I'm not sure if Earth's homo sapiens is gonna make it there in this round of the Kosmic game, the way things are going.

Is America controlled by a bunch of yentas?

Women have it so easy. All they have to do is be born. If they're not too poor they look great and they reproduce the same in most situations because their eggs don't change.

For a man just to get his sperm coterminous with some sort of evolved being he has to learn allot and travel all over the world - mostly. Be completely disciplined in his endeavors.

And all the while this is going on all the stupid idiots care about reproducing, not about the health of people over the course of their lives.

It's all not right. You know there is that thing about Soloman that who ever wants the baby but won't hurt it is the rightful owner of it, and I've got to say that the American media's propaganda shouldn't get to put propaganda forth either way.

You know there is a big problem with our society and it isn't with anything other thing than the intrusive presence of this media. For any good it does, it ruins things twice as much.

And no, I don't bother to proof read what I write on these goddamn blogs. If I did that I'd get a heart by sitting at a computer for too long handling all of this ms.information.

I would also like to say that because men largely drive evolution and their sperm is the result of how much they've evolved up to a very specific point of time, then men should indeed get as much credit as women do for reproduction because their sperm is the result of their entire history while no matter what women do they're eggs remain the same over the course of their entire life.

The one legged man example is interesting because it points to the molecular charge of the sperm and egg.

If a body type is there it will most like fit more naturally into the whole molecular composition of what becomes the embryo. If it's not there then it might not fit.

So yes, a man who has no legs not produce sperm with the leg component if his or her brain and the rest of his body has no wiring or muscle memory in the brain for legs. However, there isn't always suck a great chance of that
if the eggs of the woman are from people with legs.

Like I said, I haven't got it down to an exact science, however that doesn't mean that the earth is not exact.

Evolution is the adaptation of a species to its environment. The adaptations are then reproduced in the form of offspring.

Genetic mutations are not random. There are no blondhaired blue-eyed people born to black people and there are no black people born to blondhaired blue-eyed people.

What has a large impact on evolution is the amount of gravity that exists on different parts of the earth. More gravity at the equator affects the muscles in people's faces and makes their bodies stronger all over. When those people go north all the muscles in their faces gets screwed up because there's no way for them to exercise them really.

When people from the north go south its equally hard on their bodes and everyone of these new traits is reproduced by men's sperm.

The smartest of the animals know how to manipulate these effects and medically treat themselves to as to reduce the the strain on their bodies.

People's bodies also change depending upon social factors and the social groups they belong to. All of these changes are reproduced by men's sperm and passed onto the next generation.

These are truths which everyone seems to know except for colleges and universities and it's sad because they cost too much.

I really think that Americans are doing themselves a disfavor by lying about all of this to its children and young adults - myself included.

Evolution should be wonderful thing that allows people to have what they want out of life but instead people seem to be ashamed of it and keep it under lock and key.

Evolution, however is not the only thing that people here lie about. They also lie about physics, chemistry, history, and metallurgy. I don;t know why they do, but it appears as though the people who lie about these things are a bunch of damn dirty apes!

But...but... but... there is no such thing as evolution. We were all created exactly as we are 6,000 years ago. (snark)

Do you suppose that evolution is "speeding up" in an attempt to get away from Huckabee? If he ever gets his hands on it, who knows what he might do?

In a sense I would agree with this article. My parents generation were complaining that we couldn't get enough. Always more of everything. Our music was noise because it was so fast. I look at the next generation and have a hard time with their music and their tv programming is like a strobe light. I have told people that the new generation seems to be running on a higher voltage. Sounds like what my parents said. I think technology advances has a lot to do with this. The amount of information the new generation has to absorb is more then I had. Mine was more then my parents. I am always impressed by 6 year old guitar players and 4 year old computer whizzes. I don't remember my generation producing people like that until they were at least in their teens. Maybe the biggest change in the environment is technology. I don't know so much about other countries but when I go to a high school graduation these days, everyone is taller then I am including the girls. The same was true about my generation over my parents generation. All you have to do is compare a starting line up in the NFL to one 50 or more years ago. I would say the populations on this planet that are more mixed like ours will produce the biggest changes sooner then more segregated peoples. If we as humans try to make sure that kids in other countries are healthy and educated, where will the human race be in a hundred years?

Evolution can clearly bee observed in the 3 generations of the Bush family.

When we were at war with evil doers:

Papa Bush enlisted and bravely served.

Son of Papa hid in the National guard but still sort of played the brave warrior.

The current Bush generation wants nothing to do with fighting the current evil doers who hate our freedoms and want to kill us all.

Enough said.

Feel the need to write this little post.

Evolution has nothing to do with species, it has to do with individuals. "Survival of the fittest" isn't fittest species, but fittest individuals, those best able to navigate rough waters.

Species have no concern about their survival, there is no mechanism. Individuals care about the survival of themselves and their most immediate family members, that is to say, those who share the most genes.

Gene expression may vary, but genetic material is fixed at birth. You might have a mutation in a specific gamete, but the odds are overwhelming that it will kill the embryo. On very, very rare occasion the mutation will survive, sometimes it will be benign, and even more rarely, it is beneficial.

But when you roll the dice billions of times, sometimes you win.

Kinda wonder is this 'Unz Foundation' controlled by Ron Unz who failed at running for office in Calif.? And has ideas that are akin to Wm. F. Buckley. One can kinda doubt some of what this post is about-I'd think it's hardly unbiased. Interesting tho there is no website that google can find only other articles attributing to it.

Trading our brainpower for the ability to breathe CO2 and unburned hydrocarbons. Longer thumbs to play computer games and huge bellies to try to absorb nutrients from junk food.

lol
