Party! Tom Cruise Crashes Will Smith's Premiere

Tom Cruise Will Smith

Will Smith's new film "I Am Legend" premiered at New York's Madison Square Garden Tuesday night. The reviews are generally mixed, like those of Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.

And testing whether three is a crowd, Tom Cruise showed up with Will and wife Jada. Cruise may not be in the movie, or live in New York, but the families are great friends. Cruise has talked Scientology with Smith and both home school their kids.

Just Monday Cruise came to see his buddy get his hand and footprints cemented in Hollywood and he posed for Smith family photos. Last month Smith came to Cruise's "Lions for Lambs premiere.

Tom said said of his fellow A-lister, "We share that same level of reality and commitment that we have to our craft and to our family. Its fun. Wherever Will Smith is, that's where the party is!"

And apparently Tom likes to party. Wife Katie Holmes, last spotted shopping with Suri Friday, decided to stay home.

Let's count the ways we shouldn't give a shit about this story.

Okay, granted, Tom Cruise is a head case to the nth degree, but the man does has acting chops. The Color of Money, A Few Good Men, Top Gun, Collateral, Eyes Wide Shut, Magnolia, just to name a few.

The man can act. But the man is clearly nuts.

The stuff on this thread is just kinda typical
of people who follow celebs. I guess
somebodies gotta do it or they wouldn't have
that name. Cruise bad, bad bad. Bad person,
bad actor, bad celebrity...what garbage.
Cruise came out against Ritalin and anti
psychotics and unfortunately included
anti depressants for someone with postpartum
depression. After that I was watching the show I'm watching now "The Big Idea". The host was
ready to trash Cruise and, low and behold,
his two guests a psych academic and someone
from Entertainment Weekly didn't. Both, rightly,
defended Cruise to the shock of the host,
the very light weight but good guy Donny Deutsch.

I admire a guy named Warren Buffett
and while there's is no comparison with
Cruise/Smith I kinda like the idea that Buffett
never followed the crowd and was never above
it either.

Tom Cruise is a cartoon character.
Anybody who actually considers him an actor is out of his/her mind.

Who gives a shit about Tom Cruise?

What is this nonsense about "I Am Legend" being a new movie? It is a remake of a remake.

The original was Vincent Price's "The Last Man On Earth".

The first remake was Charlton Heston's "The Omega Man".
.

Those who point out that Will Smith is not an actor are correct. He is a "Star", which means he cannot act but only play himself. Will seems a likable person, unlike the obnoxious Tom Cruise, but if I'm going to pay money to see a movie with a likable person there are a number of good actors I would far rather see.

Tom Cruise is an "actor", he is just an incredibly bad one.
.

ps. Isaac Asimov is still spinning in his grave from "I Robot"..

Folks, let us never forget, most Hollywood actors are not real heroes, they just play them on the silver screen. Now, what Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie are doing to help the people of New Orleans, IS heroism.

"Hero --- saves a drowning child
Cures a wasting disease
Hero --- lands the crippled airplane
Solves great mysteries

Hero --- not the handsome actor
Who plays a hero's role
Hero --- not the glamor girl
Who'd love to sell her soul

If anybody's buying,
NOBODY'S HERO"

Please take this off the front page of HuffPo. Enough with Tom Cruise. We don't care. Tell us about Dennis Kucinich, Ron Paul, Congress's ineptitude, anything but TomKat and their smug rich and famous friends.

And this is crashing a party how? Really responsible headline, HuffPo. And that's aside from the fact that this entertainment bullshit is not newsworthy.

To our family????????? Tom seems to get a new one every 10 years. Jumping on a couch doen't mean he won't trade this one in for a younger model.
