Ryan White's Mother Wants To Talk To Huckabee About AIDS Comments

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee's 15-year-old comments that AIDS patients should have been isolated have so alarmed the mother of Ryan White, an Indiana teenager whose life-ending battle with AIDS in the 1980s engrossed the nation, that she has asked for a meeting.

"I would be very willing to meet with them," the former Arkansas governor responded Tuesday while campaigning in western Iowa. "I would tell them we've come a long way in research, in treatment."

Good for her. Huckabee is cut from the cloth of those who fear science. We cannot allow medical research to be hijacked by another idiot. We are already suffering the effects of one admiistration on science.

I remember the pain that Mrs White and family went through all those years ago and was sickend by the way they were treated.

Not only did motherHUCKER want to send People With AIDS to CAMPs, he wanted to CUT AIDS funds....in 1992...How many more would be dead NOW if protease inhibitor drugs were delayed or never developed?
