I Listen to Sean Hannity's radio show every afternoon. It is gut churning. He is positively giddy over the prospect of Barack Obama becoming the nominee. He despises the Democrats, yet everyday is pushing for Obama. Now why do you think that is? Why is Karl Rove giving Obama tips on how to defeat Hillary?
The Republicans know they can slaughter Obama in the General election. Implications that his 'brain is affected by his past cocaine use'. He come from Muslim roots and secretly is trying to help the Muslims take over the world. Or how about this, "Do you trust a man with only two years on the National political stage?" "America has big problems, Do you trust a guy with so little experience?
It doesn't matter if these things are true or not, it works.

John Kerry, a four term Senator, and winner of the Purple Heart; made to look like a flip-flopper and lying, coward. Max Cleland of Georgia, lost 3 limbs fighting in Vietnam; the Republicans had him looking like he worked for Saddam Husein. John McCain lost to Bush in the 2000 primary; his own party accused him of having a 'black baby.'

The Democrats always go for 'hope' and 'change,' and they always lose.
In spite of the unpopularity of the war, you put Obama up there, and the Republicans will win the election.
I live in Georgia, Evangelical Heaven. Rudy Gulianni could say he supports public abortion, free at your local supermarket and he would win the General Election over Obama.

Hukabee is having his little surge right now, but at the end of the day, it will be Rudy. And you put Rudy "hero of 911" against Obama "inexperieced Muslim supporter". Which 'soundbite' do you think will resonate with the general population?
How many times do the Democrats have to lose to get it? BE RIGHT AND LOSE should be our motto.

The only way Hillary Clinton can maintain any sense of "inevitability" is if the rest of the field remains fragmented.

Why? Because in many people's minds, it's "Hillary vs. Not Hillary." And the "Not Hillary" vote is spread among the remaining candidates. She doesn't do well as a "second choice" among other Democratic candidates' supporters.

If the Democratic nomination quickly boils down to a two-candidate race, Hillary's in big trouble.

Strategically, I would expect Hillary Clinton to step up her use of Bill's time-tested pandering techniques (she stands for whatever YOU do!) while selling her soul to Rupert Murdoch in exchange for turning his character-assassination machine against Barack Obama.

Des Moines, IA (December 11, 2007) " The Biden for President Campaign announced the launch of its new television ad, "Action," which will begin airing across Iowa tomorrow. In the 30-second spot, Sen. Biden asks Iowans to cast their support for a candidate with proven leadership, experience, and most importantly, action on the biggest challenges facing our country.

The ad points out that while promises are easily made, Joe Biden is the candidate with the longest record of promises kept. The Biden Plan for Iraq has received the bipartisan support of over 75 U.S. Senators, not to mention scores of Iraqi leaders, foreign affairs experts, and other public officials. And when Pakistan erupted in a state of crisis several weeks ago, Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf called Joe Biden first"not President Bush. Sen. Biden concludes: "You don"t have to guess what I"d do as president. Just look at what I"ve done."

"If Iowans believe campaign funds and celebrity will fix the debacle in Iraq, put the economy on track, and provide health care and education for America"s children, they should support another candidate," said Biden for President Campaign Manager Luis Navarro. "But I"m confident that Iowans know what I know: our problems will require experience and leadership from Day One. Empty slogans will be no match for proven action on caucus night."

You can see the new television ad at http://www.joebiden.com/action.

Oh God, I don't want Romney to be the nominee because I don't think I can stomach a whole year of discussion of Romney's religion.

Not because I think he'll beat the Democrat. It just will be a very ugly year, with the Christians debating Mormonism.

and Billary comes out slinging mud! (Notice how it's always the "Republican dirty tricks" when the rats start gnawing each other:

Shaheen said Obama's candor on the subject would "open the door" to further questions. "It'll be, 'When was the last time? Did you ever give drugs to anyone? Did you sell them to anyone?'" Shaheen said. "There are so many openings for Republican dirty tricks. It's hard to overcome."

If they have Obama selling drugs in a real way, he's done. BUT - it won't save Hillary.

I was just listening to Sean Hannity's show, he is giddy over this news. As usual, the Democrats are playing right into the neocon hand. 'Support Obama in the primary and we can take him out in the General'.

a recent Reporter"s Rountable in Iowa David Yepsen of the Des Moines Register said:

"What has to happen in a primary fight in either party, you"ve got to vet the candidates. The activists in both parties better understand the pluses and minuses of each candidate. [snip] ¦ because you can bet in November the opposition party is going to be probing those weaknesses. [snip] Democrats better understand all about Barack Obama"s past and what he said in his positions, because you can bet the attack ads will start on him."

Yepsen is right. Both political parties will soon perform the political equivalent of a proctology exam on the opposition. Mike Huckabee, recently annointed as a legitimate front runner for the Republican nomination by dint of his increasingly dominant strength in national and early voting state polls, is just now beginning to undergo an examination of his record. Hillary Clinton, throughly vetted for at least the past 20 years by endless politically motivated Republican congressional investigations, also passed through the political fire in two Senate campaigns.

Little however, is known about Barack Obama. We have had little examination of Obama other than the history he himself has so creatively crafted in the two autobiographies he published before reaching the age of 45. With a few notable exceptions, Big Media outlets have mostly accepted Obama"s "facts" and allowed his hagiographies to go effectively unexamined and unchallenged. Obama, unlike Hillary, has never been subjected to a full out assault by the opposition party nor by Big Media.

The Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune, two newspapers well versed in detecting the many and varied corruptions of Chicago politics have produced some good questions regarding Obama"s history. But, national Big Media have either ignored those news reports or merely mentioned them in passing. Yesterday, Politico continued to uncover some of Obama"s past

Everything there is to know about Hillary Clinton is already known to the American people, where she stands on issues, what she can do, policies she supported, sponsored and co-sponsored etc....etc. What does the American people know about Obama? So far, the only thing the American people know about Obama, he's young, black, have a rock star image; they don't know what Obama stands for, what policies he supported, legislations he sponsored and co-sponsored. Obama himself have not talk in detail policies either domestic or foreign, all he says he's President for Change, hope and idealism. The american people need more than that. They want something concrete, they wanted to know his track record as state legislator and 3 years as US senator.

College students are easily swayed by rock star appeal of Obama, he's cool, he can dance on stage, shake his booty; that doesn't work for a lot of Americans in their 40's and up that focus on issues and experience.

personally i think polls are useless. but what i really find amusing are the people who believe in the polls when their candidates are ahead and dismiss them when their candidates are not.

For all you Obama fans, here's an idea that could once and for all give him the Dem nomination and clear path directly to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave: bring back Dr. Huxtable! For millions of white folks, Cosby is THE black man, who brought sense, sensibility and humor into our living rooms for years. If Obama simply staged a photo op with Cosby, the media would go nuts, white folks will relax (well, at least not recoil) and Obama will just walk right in. Whatdayathink?

My poll is bigger than your poll!

Can we all agree that polls can be found that favor one candidate or the next and that they mean very little?

The polls only benefit the pollsters and a lazy media.
