Romney Huckabee Fight
Republican Mitt Romney retorted to questions about his faith by surging rival Mike Huckabee on Wednesday, declaring that "attacking someone's religion is really going too far."

In an article to be published Sunday in The New York Times, Huckabee, an ordained Southern Baptist minister, asks, "Don't Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?"

So Joseph Smith received some gold plates from an angel called Moroni who instructed him to begin the translation process.

And Moses at the age of about 300, climbed Mt Sinai and was given the 10 commandments by God who reached down through the clouds and handed them to him on a stormy stormy night.

Romney vs. Huckabee: "Attacking Someone's Religion Is Really Going Too Far"

Not at all, Mittens. Hit back. Shoot the other guy.

Nothing is "going too far" in Republican politics. Romney should know that.

I would love to see a fight among cults, a fight to death.

Later, we can administer the final blow to the survivor.

The Neoconservatives and Neoliberals are finding out their support is not as strong as they thought...None have even noticed the fact that half their bases are MIA!
Wait till they see the campaign that is lying just beneath the radar.
Wait till they see what they thought to be voter disinterest was really voter vacancy!
They have left their respective parties and have gone to a real voice for the people..
The closed eyes will soon be opened.

Hey Trolls:

All your candidates said that Global Warming is real and humans are contributing to it.

Even the flat earthers in your party now agree with Al Gore.

Now what are you going to do trollies, commit mass suicide?

Whare is that Thapa joker who shows up everytime the word climate is mentioned.

God help us all, should a Hindu run for president in the future. The MSM and the other candidates would spend half the campaign parsing the Upanishads, looking for gotcha moments, regardless of the unfortunate Hindu’s merits and qualifications for the office.

The central issue should be, the ability of the prospective candidates to think outside their religion. Rather than strictly adhering to scriptures written thousands of years ago, the candidates should be thinking about how they might incorporate their belief system into the modern world, rather than forcing those of us who live in the 21st century to go back to the 12th.

As George Bush has so aptly demonstrated, a “pipeline to God” may be the worst possible qualification a candidate can claim.

It appears to me that the United States is at an important point in its history where a choice must be made to go forward as a theocracy or as a secular nation. If we continue electing Repugs, my money is on us ending up a theocracy. It truly is pathetic that less than a year from the election, Huckabee and Romney are the Repug frontrunner's. One is an homophobic idiot who believes the earth is 2000 years old and the other is a chickenhawk who professes belief in a religion founded by a conman.
In November of 2008, we are going to elect a President that likely will name the replacements to three Supreme Court Justices. When asked why he wrote his bestselling book The Nine, Jeffrey Toobin responded:
Also, the '08 presidential campaign "pushed me to do it. I knew the Court would be an issue." With three liberal justices likely to step down in a few years, "the future of the Court is very much hanging in the balance at the moment."
If American women are to have any chance to retain the right to choose and if all Americans are to have any hope to regain rights lost to the “Patriot” Act the next President better be a Democrat. (Don’t even think about a 3rd party candidate at this late date.)

Hah.

Mitzie is crying, 'No fair!'

Wait, just wait, til he starts ragging on Clinton, Obama, Biden, Edwards or even Bloomberg.

Unless we can see Temple Ordinances, I don't believe a thing any BOM-trumpeter says. The Mormon cult is just that. A secret society that is no better than Skull and Bones and all of that stuff.

Ugh.

There are two political organizations that call themselves "The Party of God".

One is the Republican Party.
The other one is Hezbollah.

Coincidence? I do not think so.

Aloha.

In the Biblical Book of Job, God and Satan have a conversation in which Satan says "I want to harrass Job and make him lose his faith in you." and then God says "Go for it, Job is my man and will not lose faith."

So that would seem to imply at least a partnership between God and Satan in the Christian Bible, if not outright relations.

I'm sure that's one of the "Inconvenient Truths" in the Bible the nutcase fundamentalists choose to ignore.

There was a time when religion ruled supreme over Western Civilization. We now refer to that time as "The Dark Ages".

Does anybody remember a little document called the United States Constitution?

The very first sentence of the very first Amendment which is a part of the Bill of Rights states:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Article VI of the Constitution states:

"The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."

Governmental office holders are bound by oath or affirmation to SUPPORT THE CONSTITUTION.

NO RELIGIOUS TEST SHALL EVER BE REQUIRED as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."

Government needs to stay OUT of the religion business.
