Bush Torture Veto

AP:

The House on Thursday approved an intelligence bill that bans the CIA from using waterboarding, mock executions and other harsh interrogation methods.

The 222-199 vote sent the measure to the Senate, which still must act before it can go to President Bush. The White House has threatened a veto.

If the Senate does not overwhelmingly pass this, then guess what the members are?

If Bush vetoes this, then guess what HE is?

If we do not show the world that we DO NOT torture, then guess what WE ARE?

I b'lieve we will be a Nation of torturers.

Ugh.

Send the Bill to the Floor. Check.
Make every Republic take a public stand on torture. Check.
Let the Unelected Fraud veto it. Check.
Let EVERY voter know how they voted. Check.
Consequences - in 326 days.

Now about those De-Republification (Reputrefecation?, you pick) classes. They can be held in those detention camps that Blackwater is building.

Until the Presidents cease to obtain a chub at the mere thought of ball gags, they will continue to veto human rights bills.

Apparently, they're doing it for the lawrd.

The trolls always phrase the question on a personal level.

Its like asking a victims family to try a presumed murderer, it would be a short trial, whether the suspect was guilty or not.

It is also why Governments must obey International conventions, otherwise they descend into dictatorship and terror.

You cannot apply personal type responses to government action and behaviour, unless you want a King appointed by the will of god.

After all is said and done on this issue, Pres Bush will VETO this in it's present form. The Defeatocrats WILL cave again and submit a bill he can sign. In between, they'll 'him and haw' about TORTURE and in the end WATERBOARDING will still not be defined as torture.

I don't know how many more ways Bush can embarrass us on the world stage. What exactly ARE those 'American Values' the Republicans keep talking about, if their president can't even follow long-standing treaties like the Geneva Convention??

The VietCong didn't commit war crimes when they tortured John McCain and other captured American POWs during the Vietnam War. That's according to the trolls who claim that the means justify the ends, and since torture was used successfully by the VC to extract intelligence from McCain that might have thwarted American efforts to bomb their homeland, they did what any sensible patriotic soldier would do.

Wow, the VietCong owes a debt a gratitude to our trolls for vindicating their torture policies, don't you think?

Barney walked off the set during the taping of the Whitehouse holiday Barney cam, with W running behind him. Jess do you think Barney is jumping ship to, will Laura next. It was pretty funny watching Barney running out the frame with W in hot pursuit. If only he took his job as leader of the free world that seriously.

I'm pretty impressed that AP actually used the accurate term "mock execution."

Hillary’s going to fly across Iowa this weekend on a "Hill-a-copter." Because it’s too cold for the broom, I guess.

Ok Amombob, vogon et al.

Question for ya;
If I'm not mistaken you were aking if we had to waterboard someone to save a loved one's life, would we do it, cool, now let's extend the scenario further.

If you had to sacrifice an innocent person in order to save a loved one, would you?

Or let's even more into it, if you had to sacrifice one loved one the save another, would you?
