Bush Torture Veto

AP:

The House on Thursday approved an intelligence bill that bans the CIA from using waterboarding, mock executions and other harsh interrogation methods.

The 222-199 vote sent the measure to the Senate, which still must act before it can go to President Bush. The White House has threatened a veto.

Bush is the Republicans' big, steaming, personal pile of doggy do. The GOP made it, and they can no longer defend making it, and I enjoy rubbing their noses in it. The Germans have a word for this. It's schadenfreude.

IF the decider says torture is legal, who are you to say no? The decider is the executive, legislator and judge; democrats must agree with the decider or those red lights, green lights start blinking again. Bush is doing everything right for Amerika, he'll do what's necessary to keep all of you safe.

I will not pledge alliance to the flag of a nation that puts itself above international law, its own Constitution and Laws, and treaties to which it is a signatory, not so long as she is led by wanton criminals who openly flout all those precepts of our civilization.

This president is alpha dog to a pack of rabid mongrels who have been set loose on our nation in the name of Lincoln's Party. They are trampling our rights, our reputation, and our children's future beneath their bloody claws.

It seems to me that a public refusal to acknowledge what is ALREADY law, should constitute the most flagrant of High Crimes.

There is a harsh reckoning ahead, however it may be visited upon us, for what we are witnessing today.

If waterboarding is legal, I say we waterboard the lying asshole Bush and ask him about:
his National Guard service record,
his drunk driving charges,
his cocaine use,
what is under seal in his father's presidential library,
who outed Plame and what he knew and when,
what he knew of the intel leading up to Iraq,
who Gannon was visiting in the White House all those times he was there and no news briefing took place,
and the last time he fucked his wife.

Speaking of torture:

When is The Press going to ask Romney to define "Marriage"?

Everyone knows it's 1 man and 10 women............and the man being faithful to all 10.

In order to say waterboarding is torture, you must define what torture is. For example, I've gone out with some girls who refused to have sex with me. Is that torture? To some it would be, to others it wouldn't be.

Another example. If you're involved in a bum marriage would you consider that torture? Maybe, maybe not. Torture is really an abstract thing. Torture isn't black and white. What some consider torture, others might consider a means to an end.

Don't rush to judgment when it comes to torture. Afterall, you might be in a situation some day where a gal/guy will tell you to stop torturing them, when all you're trying to do is squeeze the both of your in one giant size rubber.

Once xmas/jesus' birthday (laff riot) was recognized by congress, the aforementioned prince of peace declared torture can be used to secure the blessings of liberty

Every time I see a picture of Dubya I think of the word MORON.

Moron : A person who makes uncool, unfunny, uninteresting, or irrelevant (see lame) attempts to impress others and draw attention to himself; especially in a flawed attempt to act like someone else.

my first thought was "199? wtf is that?"

then I see it's part of a larger bill that also creates new agencies. if this banning torture thing was a stand-alone bill, these numbers would be unacceptable. but seeing as there's a whole-lotta-other shit thrown in there maybe there were valid reasons for objections.

Goodbye America; you were a nice dream while you lasted. I guess it's only a matter of time until we all have to arm ourselves. I'm willing to bet that GW tortured house pets as a child

As one can see, there is plenty of 'legal' wiggle room written into the statutes and treaties.
