AP :

Al Gore said Thursday the United States is "principally responsible" for blocking progress at the U.N. climate conference, and European nations threatened to boycott U.S.-led climate talks next month unless Washington compromises on emissions reductions.

The former vice president urged delegates to take urgent action to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases blamed for global warming.

What consensus...You moonbats are getting snookered by Junk Science.

Here are 100 REAL "non-on the government tit" scientist that refute any consensus, but I know it will not deter the Followers Of the Religion Of Man-made Global Warming.

Is Al still babbling about global warming?

I don't understand all the fuss about him. I think he is a big bore.

It's a shameful day when this man, hero to millions, who wanted to be president, goes overseas and speaks ill of the USA in such a vindictive and self-serving way. He could have chosen different words and images, but he is so full of himself and so ready to blame America and capitalism that he has now jumped the shark. Witness the beginning of the decline of the church of Al Gore. http://www.lezident.com

Global warning is a bit of a misnomer at times like this, but it's all the same.

Where I live in Philadelphia there were green leaves on the trees up until late November this year. it's a bit surreal considering most Halloweens of my childhood, I remember wearing a snow parka over my costume.

Something fishy is going on and i suspect it's more than our carbon use that is to blame:

I for one believe that truncation in the water cycle definitely helped. Storm and sanitary sewers; while a wonderful modern invention that has cured many ails of society; are most primarily a means of conveyance. Water that would have percolated into the ground or evaporated into the atmosphere 150 years ago is piped to a larger body of water that is piped... etc... to the base of the watershed, leading to imbalance.

What utter hogwash the Kyoto Accord has turned out to be.

Of the pious, holier than thou 15 Europeans countries who pledged to REDUCE greenhouse gasses 13 of them actually INCREASED emmisions.

It's good that Europe is not boasting of this wonderful achievment.

They're leaving it up to Al Gore to accuse the USA of being the reason it's a dud.

This man was the second most powerful man in the world for 37 months after the Kyoto Accord was proposed and he didn't get it ratified.

Now (that there is profit for him invlolved) he is blaming Dubya for not getting it ratified in the last 71 months - when he's not even a "believer" in the new global warming religion that Al Gore has established.

Ice storms in the midwest and massive winter storms stretching across the northeast and Al Gore is freaking out about global warming.

OK there, Bucky!

It's only the bush administration running interference for their buddies in the oil industry. They are protecting their investment, the President is not one to look to the future, or even if there will be a future with guys like him in power all over the world.

On a related topic, the recent vote in the Senate on a renewable energy bill:

59 yeas
40 noes
1 vote not cast

according to the rules of American "democracy," the noes win it. Wow.

There was one vote not cast, Sen. McCain's. He has recently spoke up for renewable energy, and the need to do more to stop global warming. He has even gone so far as to go on record as saying that special interests are the main reason for the lack of action by the U.S. However, he did not vote for this bill, and his was the deciding vote. Makes me wonder if he is saying what people want to hear, but doing what the special interests want done.

After looking around the net I came across what algore said about the Kyoto Accords in 1997. It is pretty much what is being said about this farce in Bali. "We will not submit this (the Kyoto Protocol) for ratification until there's meaningful participation by key developing nations." Does that mean he is an obstructionist too? Or maybe he was just having a moment of intelligence.
