I see no one has complained that Imus (who I won't listen to under any circumstance) replaced one of the best radio people and one I've always liked. Ron Kuby (who shared a show with the always annoying Curtis Sliwa--WABC kept Sliwa) at the least had two things going for him: One he mostly had a consistent progressive perspective on issues and two he could explain the law like no one else on radio could. His voice will definitely be missed. Maybe Air America will pick him up.

I listened to Imus his first day back. I sat there for a while, and then I looked down, and my hands were fashioning a noose. Just kidding. Is Al Sharpton listening? I bet he isn't. If anything Al has some poor intern doing it for him.(Noose anyone?) Al doesn't stand up for the gays? With that weave on his head? Really? Good luck Imus fans. I tried to listen, but could barely understand half of what marble-mouth had to say. No more boobery for me, thanks. Imus blows.

I'm just elated that Don Imus is back on the air. They guy has been a pompous idiot for as long as I can remember, and that's back to his d.j. days (Remember Don, you're a f'ing disc jockey.)

If he's not on the air, how can I laugh at his ongoing mule's assedness?

In other words, better to take his stupid statements apart with logic and call him on it, than do the typical lazy American thing and decide not to think. (I only mean that large chunk of Americans that are incable of critical thinking at even the most basic level.) I had an Uncle like Imus. We all loved him. He didn't say things to get attention like Imus, but he just couldn't stop doing the one thing that was killing him: smoking Kool cigarettes.

They put him on oxygen for the last couple of years, and I remember his cough in the morning.

Sometimes Imus shuts the mike off a little late and I can hear it. That raspy, deep, gurgling sound.

My uncle was in so much pain at the end he had my dad hold the mask away until it stopped. One of his kids still blames me, becuase my dad has passed and there's no one else to blame, or help him with his pain.

That's why I laughed when Imus tried to blame McCord for being rude to Jay Severin.

I don't hate Imus for unintentionally hurting others, he can't really help being himself.

Everybody knows the only alternative to being yourself is being miserable.

You guys really make me laugh. Many of you make the same style of derogatory statements as Imus only at different targets.
