ESPN.com reported that Brian McNamee, a former trainer for the Yankees and Clemens, said information he gave Mitchell on supplying the pitcher with steroids is in the report. The Web site, citing an unidentified source close to the trainer, said McNamee told investigators he supplied Clemens with steroids.

Sources are also reporting that another Yankee Pitcher, Andy Pettitte is "Among the names expected to appear in the Mitchell Report today."

I found it absolutely absurd to see Bud Selig say about how baseball has the toughest drug policy in pro sports.

Tell that to Marion Jones.

I mean is anybody asking any of thest characters to give up every penny they made during the years they are under suspicion? Is anybody suggesting that every win be erased for those years?

No track statisticians are mumbling about how nobody can tell if a particular win may or may not have been the result of steroids or how much the steroids helped performance. The results are gone and the prize money is being demanded to be returned.

I'm not trying to say the Jones is being mistreated, but don't feed me a line of crap about how tough baseball's drug policy is.

Clemens, Pettite, Bush, Cheney (alcohol). Drug users. Now can we get back to the war, torture, the devastation of our economy, corruption of our political system.

How much did this cost? I want a full accounting, to the penny. And I want a bill submitted to MLB to pay for it. Why should I pay for the Congresspeople to hang out at a ballpark tsk-tsking the players while drinking the big-gulp beers and getting drunk on their asses?

This whole thing is an enormous waste of time and money, and is supposed to divert us from the fact that this is the most corrupt and useless Congress ever in the history of this country.

What am I supposed to do? Ignore the fact that they have allowed the little Dictator to bankrupt the country, start a world war, loot the treasury, trample my constitutional rights, bug every citizen, kidnap, torture, murder in direct contravention of the law.

I should ignore all that. And instead I should say: Thank God someone finally nailed Roger. it's about time.

I want my money back. All of it.

Once again, sports is ENTERTAINMENT, not government service, so why did they waste MILLIONS OF DOLLARS on a USELESS REPORT? If anyone is to blame, then FIRE BUD SELIG. He did nothing way back when Mark Mcgwire and Sammy Sosa revived baseball after the strike. Suddenly, NOW he's concerned? I call bullshit.

You want to make baseball more interesting?

Move the pictures mound back to second base and make it a 5 inning game!

Final scores ... 27 - 21 ... 45 - 43

Yeah!

The report is almost useless because Mitchell relied on people who actually came forward and talked-- two New York Yankee guys, so it looks like the Yankees were the biggest culprits. But if you didn't squeal (OK-- "cooperate") then teams other than the Yankees are under-represented.

For all of the "Who the f#ck cares crowd" let me just remind you of a few facts. 1st..Steroids are illegal, to possess and to use. Just like cocaine, pot, ice, you get the picture? These assholes, the so called athletes, have been lying, cheating, and have been making MILLIONS. You tell me, if any one of us, the "working class" would have been caught with this shit in our urine or blood do you think for one minute that we would get to keep our jobs and our money? What the f#ck right?..They have created a culture in this country that "Who ever has the "long green" gets to do what ever the f#ck they want. Are you not sick of this shit yet? Are we going to just let "them" get away with any thing they want? Fact #2..We out number them, if we want to put a stop to all of this shit, we can. It's called a revolution and boys and girls it is coming soon.

No surprise to see Pujols name on there. He once injured himself fielding a pop foul.

Perhaps I'm missing something, why is this news? What does this have to do with our government? Who gives a rat's ass about this? Does this give health care to kids or poor families? Does it lower the price of gas or save any soldiers' lives? I can't imagine anyone with a brain ever thought for a second that any athlete since the dawn of time wasn't using what ever they could get to enhance their performance. Big surprise.

VARITEK IS NOT IN THE REPORT

Varitek's name is not in the Mitchell report. I searched the pdf file. Why are you smearing him by keeping his name in your headline?
