Democratic candidates gathered in Iowa today for their final debate before the January caucuses. The overall feeling of the debate was cordial considering the recent heightened spats between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton's respective campaigns.

The atmosphere tensed up briefly when Obama was asked what new foreign policies he could offer with a staff of so many ex-Clinton advisers.

Read the exchange from AP:

Hillary Clinton laughed out loud, and said with a smile on her face, "I'm looking forward to hearing that."

Obama, also smiling, waited for the laughter to die down before saying, "Hillary, I'm looking forward to you advising me as well."

I was laughing my head off when Obama came up with that comeback. He's a very witty man who can think on his feet. He's an extremely intelligent man.

Obama: "Hillary, I'm Looking Forward To You Advising Me"

One of the reasons I won't be voting for Barak Obama.

The reasons I won't vote for sHillary (as written by the Great Molly Ivins) can be found here:

To all of the Republican Party supporters here at Huffpo who have proclaimed that the Democratic Party is too liberal and too fond of big government for mainstream America, I simply say the following without fear of retribution.

I think mainstream America can decide for themselves what is too liberal. Things have changed and that change has made a difference. It is a difference that will be seen at the polls come November. Count on it.

The American People at last count have demonstrated that they no longer have any trust in the credibility or integrity of the Republican Party. Sevent percent of Americans have no trust in this administration. And even more find that the Republican House members and Senators are not trustworthy or ethical. But I will tell you what has been missing from your party and what Liberals want.

Liberals want fairness, accountability, security, forthrightness, thoughtfulness, patience, and prosperity, amoung other qualities, from all of their leaders. But what is most important and crucial to us is integrity. The current administration has clearly demonstrated over the last seven years that it has very little regard for any of these. Your beloved Republican party has destroyed any doubt that although you talk about issues that are understandable, and yours certainly are, and you claim to want all Americans to pull themselves up to your standards of success, your actions are pale and pitiful in comparison.

Just look at the record number of scandals uncovered from the last seven years. Dozens of Repulicans have resigned, plead guilty, been convicted, publicly humiliated, committed adultery, embezzled, been proved fraudulent, and the list continues, all because of greed and the lust for more power. The president himself is constantly mired in scandal and malfeasance. Can you truthfully deny this?

I think you should consider all the above before casting stones at the Democratic presidential field and their principles and platforms. Especially when your party is made of such fragile and unflattering material.

*sighs* That's my party of record. Nobody better at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory...

Wake up, people. If we front a weak candidate, we're going to lose. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm really not looking forward to 4 years of Mike Huckabee or Mitt Romney.

Hillary to advise Obama...That IS the Audacity of Hope.

Obama is perfect President for Amerika, he'll give you hope. The old is yesterday's news, all of Obama's advisers will be coming from the hood near you, they're the new hope of Amerika he'll create just for you. Whatever hope you have Obama will increase it by tenfold. Under Obama's Presidency YOU, I mean YOU will live and breathe with hope every time the sun comes up. Obama as President, nothing can go wrong with Amerika, Al Qeada will embrace Amerikans like long lost brother coming back into the fold of Islam. With a President named Barack Hussein Obama, EVERY Muslim extremists around the world will bow their heads. Osama Bin Laden will hug Obama and the rest of Amerika, and declare "don't tread with my brother".

If your hope for change under his administration will reach a point, it becomes murky, you don't have a job anymore, can't feed your family; Obama as President for HOPE has a backup plan, Oprah is only a phone call away, Dr. Phil will be right there in your home, to give you advise how to cope with hope.

Everyone must HOPE, without hope you're nothing. Hope will deliver you from insanity.

Will Hillary Clinton ever laugh again? I hope she took a page out of the astronaut’s book and wore a diaper to this debate.

Oh yes, Obama with his un voting record, his unfeasible health plan, lack of international gravitas and his undiplomatic wife who will eventually run the white house. Aren't we lucky.

An absolute classic line that will go down in the annals similar to Reagan's "There you go again" Or Bentson's ...."you are no Jack Kennedy".
