Obama: "Hillary, I'm Looking Forward To You Advising Me"

Democratic candidates gathered in Iowa today for their final debate before the January caucuses. The overall feeling of the debate was cordial considering the recent heightened spats between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton's respective campaigns.

The atmosphere tensed up briefly when Obama was asked what new foreign policies he could offer with a staff of so many ex-Clinton advisers.

Hillary Clinton laughed out loud, and said with a smile on her face, "I'm looking forward to hearing that."

Obama, also smiling, waited for the laughter to die down before saying, "Hillary, I'm looking forward to you advising me as well."

End the war, balance the budget, teach people
on computers, audit the whole healthcare thing,
and cut the crap, not necessarily in that
order...but the budget needs to be balanced
and the tax system needs to be updated.
Here's my suggestion: 30% across-the-board
spending cuts. That should get things within
spitting distance of being balanced. Across-the-
board keeps it equal opportunity, non-favoritist
and nondiscriminatory, and on the tax side,
10% tax up to X amount, 20% tax up to a certain
amount, and 30% all thereafter. You earn a buck,
you pay a dime, up to say, um, 20k/yr. Pay 20%
from 20k to 100k, and 30% on up. You earn a million, you drop 300k in the tax kitty.
10, 20, 30, easy as 1,2,3, end the shell games.
