I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Obama Mocks Clinton

Democratic candidates gathered in Iowa today for their final debate before the January caucuses. The overall feeling of the debate was cordial considering the recent heightened spats between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton's respective campaigns.

The atmosphere tensed up briefly when Obama was asked what new foreign policies he could offer with a staff of so many ex-Clinton advisers.

Read the exchange from AP:

Hillary Clinton laughed out loud, and said with a smile on her face, "I'm looking forward to hearing that."

Obama, also smiling, waited for the laughter to die down before saying, "Hillary, I'm looking forward to you advising me as well."

I want to personally thank Senator Obama for that diplomatic and polite smack down of the Candidate-Formely-Known-As-Inevitable! And it was delivered with a smile and effortlessly!

This debate exchange should have a caption: "He/She who laughs last, laughs loudest and longest".

The final expression on the Establishment Candidate was one for the history books - priceless!!!

Based on the last few weeks, if this is what a text book campaign looks like, then the Democratic Party machine urgently needs not just a revised edition of the text book but a totally new text and fast otherwise the future of the DLC is bleak.

I would have expected the establishment campaign to never forget that the junior senator from IL should not be under-estimated because he has survived Chicago politics.

The H campaign should never forget that even in the IL democratic primary, Obama was not supported by the local party machine. Futhermore, Obama run against one candidate from an entreched IL political family and another candidate who spent $50 Million in the primary. The current senate roll call shows who came out ahead as a winner.

The only candidate the Republicans are truly hoping to run against is Hillary. Those high negatives represent their only real chance to turn things around next year.

The media wants Hillary.

The GOP wants Hillary.

I'm not seeing it so much from America.

I can't believe she laughed at him. That wasn't even an appropriate time to laugh. I can't stand her.

"Yeah, well, sometimes nothing can be a pretty cool hand." Luke Jackson - on the chain gang.

Maybe, but the smart money is on something. If you can find something.

To all the political scientist who sincerely believe there is a conspiracy to nominate Barack Obama:

The idea that an African American candidate can motivate the racist minority in the South to run to the polls may be more indicative of your ignorance towards others than theirs. And here's a little secret. Traditional red states (where people of that mentality are in higher concentration) are extremely unlikely to have an electorate that will vote for a democrat, regardless of the nominee.

The real joke is that neither one of them is electable...

What is all this comedy about Obama being, "the one?" What, is Oprah trying to get America to subconsciously believe that Obama is, 'Neo from the Matrix movie?'

Yeah, Obama is 'the one' alright; Obama is 'the one' that DOESN'T have very much Washington D.C. policy experience', in which many see as a MAJOR red-flag.

Sure, Obama is a nice enough guy, but he is not ready to be president.

Jim VandeHei, John Harris today at Politico.com: "'Immigration Reshapes Politics Everywhere.' -- If there was any doubt about the fearsome power of an anti-immigration message in American politics this election cycle, Republican Bob Latta drove a stake through it on Tuesday. It's hard to imagine a more miserable political climate for Republicans. ... But Latta, running in a special election for a suburban Toledo-based House district, crafted a message -- echoed by party officials -- that bashed illegal immigrants who live here, drive here or get government-funded health care. He won by 14 points. Democrats and Republicans alike credit the immigration message for the big margin.

I'm not sure some of the Huffpo people understand that they're more Liberal than mainstream Amurrika. I don't think Americans will elect a Black POTUS even if his middle name wasn't Hussein and his last name didn't ryhme with Osama.
