Obama Mocks Clinton

Democratic candidates gathered in Iowa today for their final debate before the January caucuses. The overall feeling of the debate was cordial considering the recent heightened spats between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton's respective campaigns.

The atmosphere tensed up briefly when Obama was asked what new foreign policies he could offer with a staff of so many ex-Clinton advisers.

Read the exchange from AP:

Hillary Clinton laughed out loud, and said with a smile on her face, "I'm looking forward to hearing that."

Obama, also smiling, waited for the laughter to die down before saying, "Hillary, I'm looking forward to you advising me as well."

Funny, I don't see anyone on this list with 53%. What could that mean?

Dec. 6-9, 2007
"If the 2008 Republican presidential primary or caucus in your state were being held today, and the candidates were [see below], for whom would you vote?"

Rudy Giuliani 25%

Mike Huckabee 19%

Mitt Romney 17%

Fred Thompson 14%

John McCain 12%

Ron Paul 3%

Duncan Hunter 2%

Tom Tancredo 0%

None (vol.) 3%

Unsure 4%

Also the audience got to hear about the pros that are on the obama team without any negative effect to his image. That is very bad for Hillary's 'not ready' argument.

Just for the fun of it, I hope Edwards wins this thing in Iowa. I'm sick of reading Hillary-Obama-Hillary-Obama-Hillary-Obama on Huffy.

The Democratic candidates are too liberal for Mainstream America. Every election cycle you promise the very same class warfare, social engineering, environmentalism, income re-distribution, etc., and lose the Presidency. It will be no different this cycle. My wife and I [Republicans] make approximately $250,000 per annum. We worked very, very hard to get our degrees and present positions. Why should we embrace the Democratic socialist platform? Everything you advocate is personally detrimental to my family. This is America, the Land of Horatio Alger. Study hard, work even harder, and you too can embrace the American dream. If you are mentally or physically infirm, then my family is indeed obliged to help you. And gladly so. Otherwise, roll up your sleeves like we did. Do not speak about the endless inequities of race, class, etc. There are too many success stories like my African-American neighbors next door, who have done exceptionally well. My neighborhood has several financially successful minority families and I personally applaud every one of my hyphenated-American neighbors! Like myself, the vast majority of them earned their way. Better yet, many have become registered Republicans! Why accept Democrat-sponsored handouts and special treatment when you can aspire to higher goals through individual effort and personal accountability? Can you understand why I admire someone like Fred Thompson? Mitt Romney? J.C. Watts? Clarence Thomas? Mel Martinez? Those who reply here will, of course, label my family and I greedy, selfish, capitalist, racist, elitist, country club Republicans. Typical liberal response.

Sen Obama spoke to her Hillaryship like a winner. He will be just as gracious to Sen Clinton when he's POTUS.

I was thinking about Ms. Winfrey today. How if her candidate lost in the General election (which he would), how it would affect HER life. She would go back to one of her mansions, while millions of Americans would have to continue without healthcare, losing THEIR homes and many continuing to live in poverty.
I am not writing again to this silly blog, it's a waste of time.

Having Obama, Hillary and Bill in the WH at the same time might not change a thing but oh the sound of exploding troll heads would be so very satisfying.

Good grief he asks for %50 billion

They buy him off with $70 billion.

Oh for fucks sake.
-------
Democratic lawmakers and staffers privately say they’re closing in on a broad budget deal that would give President Bush as much as $70 billion in new war funding.

Congress is likely to pass an additional $70 billion in new war funds, Democrats tell CNN.
