Obama Mocks Clinton

Democratic candidates gathered in Iowa today for their final debate before the January caucuses. The overall feeling of the debate was cordial considering the recent heightened spats between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton's respective campaigns.

The atmosphere tensed up briefly when Obama was asked what new foreign policies he could offer with a staff of so many ex-Clinton advisers.

Read the exchange from AP:

Hillary Clinton laughed out loud, and said with a smile on her face, "I'm looking forward to hearing that."

Obama, also smiling, waited for the laughter to die down before saying, "Hillary, I'm looking forward to you advising me as well."

Now, that we're off topic, let's talk about attacking Iran. Who's out there making sure that mistake doesn't happen?

If anyone here still doesn't believe this site is a shill for the Obama campaign than this headline should seal it. No explanation needed on that one.

how many times has the debt ceiling been raised in the past 7 years, vogon? that's a fiscal policy that is "getting it right?"

the question was asked, "have the republicans done anything right?"

and vogon answered "tax cuts"

from 2000 through 2007, the share of each person's debt (portion of the national debt, not personal debt) has grown from $20,000 to $30,000. 7 fucking years, and it increased by 50%.

and that's a good thing, vogon? that's "getting it right?"

What Chris Matthews just did to Hillary is still illegal in most states.

They're really starting to smell blood in the water. Hillary will throw Mark Penn overboard pretty soon.

Someone pointed out on the Burkle thread that the Clintons have always been willing to push good friends off the sleigh when the wolves get too close. I say Penn gets the heavo-ho right after the Iowa caucus.

The BIGGER laughter came from the question TO Obama, in that, how does Obama espouse breaking free from the past politics as usual, when Obama has many old Clinton advisers on his [Obama's] staff. Everyone here got a big laugh on that question. You know the old saying, ... it's funny because it's true. True meaning that, Obama's 'change rhetoric' is just a bunch of substance-less fluff in the eyes of many. Good for the moderator for calling Obama on the laughable B.S. Obama is 'trying' to shovel upon the educated!

CNN polled and Edwards not only won the debate, if the election were held today, Edwards would win. And NO, I don't have the link, I heard it on CNN via my T.V.. Are you listening HuffPost?

Go John Edwards !!!

What would you do your first year in office?
Mr. Obama: End the war; initiate diplomacy to stabilize the country; review every single executive order issued by Bush and rescind those that would undermine the constitution.

I hope Barak means this. Bush would argue that every thing he has done is constitutional.

Hillary looks confident and very presidential like. It was the same look that won Clinton, Reagan the presidency. The Bush's may look a little um dorky, but their opponents looked even dokier (remember Dukakis?).

Oh, so superficial? No more than this HuffPo headline rooted for Obama.

pWn3d!

Clinton is done. By the day, her campaign gets increasingly nasty and desperate. And she has ZERO momentum. And how can she? Everyone had her figured out from years ago, and she's only gotten less appealing and more calculating since then. Meanwhile, Obama, with an army of passionate supporters is winning over new voters each and every day.

This country was built on hope, and Obama will take us back to that.

Obama 08.

1) Breaking from the past still allows you to have the best people working for you no matter from where they are - remember the economy was pretty good under Bill.

2) Hillary - that cackle - dear lord almighty - it sounds like someones aunt cackling away.

Obama - Dude you nailed it!!!
