White House Christmas Card

This morning on "The View," Barbara Walters displayed the Christmas card she recently received from the White House. She said it was the most religious White House Christmas card in her memory. The card included explicit religious references beyond just a bible verse.

The super-Christian card features a verse from Nehemiah (Old Testament, it should be noted):

You alone are the LORD.
You made the heavens, even the highest heavens,
and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it,
the seas and all that is in them.
You give life to everything,
and the multitudes of heaven worship you.
NEHEMIAH 9:6 (NIV)

But whereas in previous years the President and the First Lady opted for messages of happiness, goodwill, and peace, this year featured the following closer:

May the joy of all creation fill your heart this blessed season 2007.

It is then signed by both George and Laura Bush.

The card was financed by the Republican National Committee.

Good to see that the anti-Christ can still acknowledge the value of manipulating people of faith to it's own end. Remember Bush minions, the devil comes in many guises, not the least of which being a "god fearing" "born-again" tyrant, who has openly embraced a culture of death, all the while claiming he supports a culture of life (how does that work when upwards of a million innocent Iraqi's are dead due to his elective war of conquest?). Look to the love of death that this devil has so thoroughly embraced, to see his true face. This is when the demon in him can not be hidden...when the joy of death overwhelms him and brings that wicked sadistic smile that so endears his minions to him.

Oh, and by the way, I'm an agnostic, and I feel I'm more of a Christian than Bush will ever be! It's about courage, turning the other cheek and taking care of your brother (all men being your brother) and sister (ditto)...not industrialized murder, aka war.

You made the HELL, even the highest HELL,

the Hell and all that is on it,
You give DEATH to everything and everyone,
and the multitudes of HELL and Republicans worship you.

And why, may I ask have my comments been pulled? Abusive?

I'll repeat. Christmas is a CHRISTIAN HOLIDAY. So of course, it's natural that the card be Christian in nature!

Well,
If this is supposed to further Republican efforts to polarize Americans so as to further it's own agenda its very effective.

Also, I don't see how this can be called "super-Christian" when the quote is from the OLD TESTAMENT ... you know, the one before the appearance of Christ??

Will you people EVER learn?

Well, they thought about sending cards that said "Peace on Earth," but they just couldn't sign them with straight faces.

Way over the line.
Trouble is, they don't believe it themselves.
They got to proselytize the rest of us to reassure themselves. Seen it over and over.
Been way over the line for a long time.
Down here in Austin we got preachers advertising miracle water on TV!
As a secondary influence, Clinton brought us Carlton Sheets.
Bush brings us miracle water and penis extenders.
Oh boy, what's next?
Pitiful.

Well, this is in poor taste, and if sent at government expense, seems illegal. But if sent on their personal dime, it just shows that Bush is a president for a limited few in this country, and the rest of us be damned . . . sigh. How many more days?
