You know something has changed slightly at the Huffington Post and I don't know who they have hired but I don't like the slant...wink..wink..nod..nod...go see pictures here! Have been how many actors / actresses have there been now who have photographed themselves, then left the videos or stills around where someone could steal them, then acted shocked about it or even sued. Please reply to this if you think anyone is so stupid as to do this by accident. It seems to me that persons who do not want nude photos of themselves published, either do not take such photos at all, or keep them so well hidden that they cannot be lifted by a visitor to your home, a trash collector, or whatever.

If Schmidt publishes or sells those photos, he is guilty of copyright infringement and subject to litigation.
When a person takes a photograph, they own the copyright to that photograph for the rest of their life, unless they specifically contract for the transfer of the ownership of the copyright.
Other people who may come into possession of a copy of the photograph, even by removing it from the garbage of the photographer, do not have the right to publish the photograph without the permission of the photographer.
Cross and Mahoney threw away prints of their photos. They did not throw away the copyright to those photos.
