Marie Osmond To Have Talk Show In '08?

There has yet to be an official announcement, but several outlets are reporting that a talk show hosted by Marie Osmond is in the works for 2008.

The New York Post reports that the show is slated for the Fall 2008 season, but does not cite any sources.

Starpulse.com reports that the name of the show is slated to be "The Marie Osmond Show," and will feature celebrity interviews.

Star Magazine speculates that Marie's first guest will be Larry King. It appears they're all friends again after Donny Osmond apologized about the Osmond family's outrage at King over his reporting that Marie's son, Michael, was entering rehab.

Well, of course she's getting a talk show. How could we survive without additional talk shows?

One concern though. Talk shows with vapid hosts who bring nothing to the table, contribute significantly to global warming.

I've been in broadcasting for over 35 years. I'd love to have a talk show on TV. Am I to figure that to get a show all I have to do is something stupid, like the Brittany guy, or pass out on TV, like MO, and I can get show of my own? Silly me, I thought that by serving the public and working hard and earnestly , I might get ahead.

I thought she already had a talk/call in show on radio she said she liked doing it because it was done locally in Utah not far from her home.

It will have a low budget, since "guests" will not be allowed to talk. Marie loves the sound of her own voice. On "Dancing with the Stars" she would not even allow the judges to give their opinion, constantly butting in. I, for one, will not watch her. She grates on my nerves. Stay home and take care of the 8 kids she constantly harps on about, since she will be a single mother.
