Bill Clinton

Theatlantic.com:

In a hard-changing interview with Charlie Rose tonight, Bill Clinton said Americans who are prepared to choose someone with less experience, are prepared to "roll the dice" about the future of America. "It's less predictable, isn't it? When is the last time we elected a president based on one year of service before he's running?"

"What do you want to do -- whether you think it matters that, I mean, in theory, no experience matters," Clinton said. "In theory, we could find someone who is a gifted television commentators and let them run. They'd have only one year less experience in national politics..."

Obama will lose the entire south. For 12 years here in North Carolina we tried to elect Gantt as a Democratic black senator in a state with a huge black population. It didn't happen.

My neighbors are independents who voted for Bush. They hate the Rethugs, and would vote for a Democrat, but I mention Obama, they make a face and say "Never." There is too much racism still here in the south. Virginia is heading more progressive, but if Obama can only narrowly win the Democratic population of South Carolina, there isn't a chance in hell he will win the state of Virginia once you add in the Rethugs.

I support Dodd, but that is beside the point. Our last Democratic presidential nominee lost because I think the public believed he didn't really stand for much of anything. Obama is made of the same cloth. His stance on Social Security, his inability to show up for crucial Senate votes, his hesitancy to take a stand until he finds which way the wind blows, his coziness with Lieberman--not a principled progressive. We can't afford another presidential loss! He can't be the candidate.

Your quote attributed to Bill Clinton seems to have changed from yesterday. Yesterday it said "It would be a miracle if Hillary won Iowa." today it reads "It's a miracle Hillary has a chance to win." By that he meant it's a miracle that a woman stands a chance of winning the nomination. Kinda sleazy on your part miss Huffington.

It is too bad that Hillary must be so dependent upon "her man". That squawky little clip from 60 Minutes where she made quite a point of claiming how SHE was NO Tammy Wynette, staying home, baking cookies and standing by her man, will come back to haunt her over and over again if she wins the nomination. The reason why is because she was so hypcritical and has in fact,... repeatedly done just opposite - to this very day..... of what she claimed in that interview. In fact it proved she was in anything, an enabler of his extra marital sexual addiction(s).
And it has become clear with his constant meddling in her campaign, she is more dependet upon "her man" more than ever.

I think he should shut up and butt out of her campaign and SHE should insist that he do so. Not every Democratic voter thinks he's a rock star....

Every time his opens his big mouth I think of him and Monica and Hillary's overt defense of his infidelity and .. my certain knowledge that if he had done the decent thing and resigned when he finally got found out, Al Gore would have become in this case, a very capable President and would have very probably won re-elction and there would have been no sociopath's presidency along with his warmongering fascist party in power.
And one other very important point, The DNC would have been able to maintain it's credibility as a principled political party. (Thanks, Terry McAuliffe and your cuckolds for saving the Clinton's asses, but greatly weakening the DNC)

"Experience..."
Experience AT WHAT?
Experience is not always what it's cracked up to be.
Experience in upholding our capitalist system that in the long run has created more distruction and slaughtered more people, undermined more than anything else. Except, perhaps, oraganised _for profit/domination-religions.
"GOD" bless war, poverty, slavery, stoning, great stolen wealth, capital punishment, racism, sexism, classism, polution, winning ball games and races...etc, etc...
Yeah right.

I consider any woman who spent 8 years married to the president as qualified for the presidency and unchallengeable. Most important, I believe it is time for a woman president no matter who she is or what she says, does or thinks.

So I am voting for Laura Bush as a write in candidate.

Sounds like Bill Clinton has become so frustrated that he is issuing threats to voters!

And as reported Bill got reddish and trembled that Obama was running!

Bill, americans have said no sir, u are not going back to the white house.

If the options are Billary or Barack, or
Romney or Giuliani, well I'll throw my vote
down for Kucinich or Paul...maybe Kucinich/Paul
and call it the 'new broom' coalition.
9.17 trillion, and counting....

let 'em roll: at least we know what we don't have; clinton has supported the worst of bush, authorization to go to war and the patriot act. she's a traitor who refuses to agree to pull us out of iraq. she derisively laughed (cackled) at gravel for criticizing a yea vote on kyl-lieberman, which the recent intelligence committee report showed him to be right. her record stinks; let's not reward her. do the right thing: vote kucinich.

Just last month, every progressive blog and comment-er was FURIOUS about the GOP blocking the expansion of the SCHIP program.

Funny, the SCHIP program was designed and created by Hillary Clinton.

Yes, that Hillary Clinton. The one the HuffPo and its lackeys attack like a swarm of pissed-off hornets any chance they can.

Clinton did not say "Rolling the dice," Rose said it. Charlie Rose was trying to get Clinton to say something controversial, but Clinton wouldn't bite and would only compliment all of the Democratic rivals to Hillary.

Let me repeat, it was not Clinton that said "Rolling the dice", it was Charlie Rose.

And Bill Clinton's experience was what before becoming president?

Governor of a state with a population 2.5 million people, less than most major cities, 25% of whom are illiterate.

No foreign experience.

No legislative experience.

No national office experience of any sort.

According to his own standards Bill Clinton was unqualified to be president.
