In a hard-changing interview with Charlie Rose tonight, Bill Clinton said Americans who are prepared to choose someone with less experience, are prepared to "roll the dice" about the future of America. "It's less predictable, isn't it? When is the last time we elected a president based on one year of service before he's running?"

"What do you want to do -- whether you think it matters that, I mean, in theory, no experience matters," Clinton said. "In theory, we could find someone who is a gifted television commentators and let them run. They'd have only one year less experience in national politics..."

Hillary and Obama are both OK with me, but either one makes the Republican's chance of winning a real probability - and the repubs know it. I'm so tired of the demos shooting themselves in the foot and handing the election to the Repubs.

Dems and Liberals: Setting aside the suggestion that Bill "attacked" Obama in this instance, you who are excercised at the Clinton campaign playing rough in the primaries may want to consider the following:

1) The rethugs are vicious bastards capable of the lowest of campaign smears. There is NOTHING that the Clinton campaign is going to do that remotely equals what the thugs will do.

2) If Obama cannot weather this level of scrutiny in the primary, then I certainly do not want him to be the nominee. Obama should be able to dance around this stuff like Fred Astaire. If he can't then he needs to lose.

3) Let the mud fly. I think Obama can take it. And it is much better that this all come out now so that come late Sept; the reaction of the media and the public will be, ho-hum, we have heard all this and we have decided that we don't care.
