K-Fed's Lawyer Seeks Sanctions Against Britney

Running out of patience with Britney Spears, Kevin Federline's attorney on Friday said he plans to seek consequences. Mark Vincent Kaplan, who represents Spears' ex-husband in their child custody case, said Friday that he would ask for sanctions against the pop star for calling in sick to her court-ordered deposition.

Spears didn't show up to testify at Kaplan's office Wednesday as scheduled, and Kaplan said later that her lawyers told him she wasn't feeling well. Spears was photographed later that day driving with a friend.

"This can be done with her active participation or without it," said Kaplan, who said he would file papers asking the court to impose sanctions on Spears before Jan. 23, the next scheduled court date.

It's her own fault for getting invloved w/ this scumbag in the first place. When she got married she was one of the biggest teen stars in the world. She could have had practicly anybody but she chose a back up dancer. Who by the way, had a girlfriend at the time that was pregant w/ their second child.

...if it wasnt so sad it would be laughable.­..these poor kids would be better off if put up for adoption..­..their mother is a self absorbed,drugged out,liquored up brain dead publicity whore who figures to keep her name in the spotlight any way she can....the­ir father is not much better....­he has a lawyer who is pushing for sanctions against their mother but it is fairly evident that his ultimate goal is NOT custody of these children but custody of as much of HER money as he can possibly get and the children are the conduit through which it will flow......­...

....the court should step in and take the kids....pu­t them in a foster home and let the two of them slug it out over the money....a­fter all....tha­t is what is REALLY at stake here.....i­sn't it?

but isn't she already responsible for his legal fees?

she doesn't care -- she needs to just step away from this whole custody battle, cough up the child support.
IF she ever gets her head on straight, she can go back and get some visitation.
Right now, the only people getting anything out of this are the attorneys. Just cut them out of the picture, give the money to Fed-Ex to support the kids, and go on with her crazy life, for however long she manages to stay alive.
