The "Talladega Nights" funnyman has joined the NBA's Entertainment League, an official extension of the NBA in Los Angeles that features Hollywood stars hooping it up every weekend. There's even a league commissioner, Shane Duffy, who tries out players and makes sure they commit to a certain number of games, played on Tuesdays and Saturdays at Crossroads School in Santa Monica.
"You can't even get in through a friend," said an insider. "You have to have skill." The games are closed to the public except for friends and family members.
The 6-foot-3 Ferrell, known among players as "The Quiet Assassin," wears number 23 in honor of his favorite player, LeBron James, and has Sacha Baron Cohen, Josh Duhamel and Donald Faison on his team, the Cavaliers.
